Okay...

Won't lock this because we'll just get accused of stopping freedom of speech or something... but I'm going to have my say...

Ah, this is a skewed poll if ever I saw one... it basically just invites people to say 'no'. The site could be only 1% less enjoyable than it used to be and a 'no' response would still be the accurate response.

And what if people want to say it is more enjoyable. And how come all the people that it is aimed at, and will vote no, registered at different times... so when was the 'golden era' then, two years ago, a year ago, 6 months ago, last week?

Or what if they found it more enjoyable last month and less enjoyable the month before etc. etc. etc.

And inevitably over time some people just lose interest, that doesn't mean there is any fault with the forum or the way in which it is run.

The overall effect is to talk down the site to anyone who views it, and I don't like that, not least cause I have put some work into it. All I can say is that I've been on this site for five years and, although nothing stays the same - and the types and numbers of members (and posts made) have changed a lot since the time I joined - I am still enthusiastic.

25 regular members, I dont think that is the case at all, there are regular members that post only in certain areas of the site, doesnt make them any less important.

Great post James, 100% agree with what you say.

If this place is such a terrible place I wonder why so many people keep coming back and enjoying their time here.

The place isn't terrible, nobody's said that. It's still enjoyable, but for me I enjoyed it more when I first joined.

The problem on this forum is that we can't say our opinions without having some people who jump on you and argue for nothing at all ! I think it's quite sad and disapointing, you can't express your opinion in a nice way ! I hope the situation will be so much better when some members will leave the forum after BB8.

I'm the same as sophie, for me, its mainly personal reasons I dont enjoy the site.

But I aint knocking the mods/admin......I live with one and know how hard they all work for the site and how much effort goes into this place..... and maybe that might be a reason that I tend to say away too but like I said, thats my choice

I also agree with what you say Sunny Members are addicted to this forum, I know I am and everyone who likes to complain about it, will always still keep posting.

All those other Big Brother sites, but back to TIBB they come.

That's the right choice

Well, I think I can't agree more to that. If I stay more than a year it's because it was a free place, the members were in gold, I still enjoy it, it's not the question, but some arguments and some people make me sad and that's why I don't post as much as I did before. But I won't tell any names of course !

If I am honest, I do enjoy it here immensely most of the time. I post the news stories, chat with other members, and try to keep it mostly lighthearted. I have had my off days when certain members have annoyed me, and said some things, but I am sure you are mainly all aware of my feelings in that respect. I am no angel, and I may have upset people in the process. Some I don't care about tbh, but others I do, and for that I am sorry.

I love 99% of the members on here, and dont know what I'd do without the place, but I do feel certain members get away with far too much. But that's just my opinion.

Everyone's probably been annoyed by someone at some point, that's life. People will have different views or opinions, and you must respect that. Most people forgive and forget cause they know it's the internet, you can't hold a grudge against someone on the net.

Sometimes some people annoy me, and I feel like logging off for good. Then I realise it's the net, and come back - because why I should be angry at someone I don't know. That's why people who said no, still post in my opinion. If it is certain members that have made people vote 'no'.

I totally agree with you. Some members have sniped at me, and I have sniped at other members, but it all gets forgotten about mainly, and life on the forum goes on. I don't hold grudges generally. If I did, I most probably wouldn't be talking to some members. Lol. I can screw up just as good as the next person, but some members do hold grudges.

I do however think I mainly respect other peoples opinions, and it may be the net, but when you visit here most days, I can see why some members can get fed up with it.

This is just my opinion.

I know that some members are a bit upset with Big Brother 8 at times and have complained about it being boring.

But, they are trying everything they can to spice up the show, Fake-Weeks, Halfway-House + loads more, but it will end soon and then it will be the wait for the next Celebrity Big Brother, (if there is one?)

Things that do occur on this forum can be related to what happens in the Big Brother house. We know how housemates get upset and argue and also be very nice too.

People on TIBB, People on BB8 [not too different really...]

This forum will have it's up's and down's, but for me & many, many other members, it is a daily port-of-call

Unfortunately, the downside of Big Brother, with the voting housemates out every week and public opinion being so important (which is also its greatest strength), is there is always going to be differences of opinion and arguments on forums. We just have to get by best we can.

I think another thing that has to be pointed out about people losing interest in forums is that, for a lot of people, it is quite a big step to get involved in a forum in the first place - you often have to very interested in what is being discussed before you join. And quite often they don't find the BB series that follows [the one that they were hooked on] to be as good, so they lose interest in the forum as well.

They might still watch the show, and enjoy it, but they don't like it enough now to post about it on an Internet forum. I know that is the case of a lot of members who joined around the same time that I started posting here.

I come on every day, sometimes I enjoy the site and sometimes I don't. I'm happiest when people get on with me and say nice things about my posts, sometimes even people acknowledging them in a positive way is enough for me to feel good about myself. I don't like it when people are nasty and say things that I may take hard, or if my posts are ignored in favour of someone else's.

I agree with James, I think the reason I don't enjoy(loosely based term, I still LOVE it here) it as much is because my interest in BB has dipped as years have gone by. But as a forum I still love it as much.
