Value your life, people die every single day over things like poverty, dont take your life over a school trip.

That's worth pointing out.
Instead of just taking what he says at face value, actually analyse it.

People get beat/punched, abused, have hard to cope with illnesses etc, yet plenty of them don't resort to suicide.

You're going on a school trip = you want to die.
That's just plain ridiculous and an insult to all people truly suffering in the world.

Even if it was true, you'd pick missing the trip and just wandering around town for a few hours [doesn't matter if your parents are making you, you still have the power to walk anywhere you want.] over actual death.

Also, to those offering him concern and sympathy, try to take in the fact you may well be offering it to a boy who's purely doing this for that reason, hence he's played you for a fool and took advantage of your kind/unsuspcious nature.

Even if this topic was filled with "I have heart problems, my dad beats me on a regular basis and everyone at school bullies me with verbal and violent behaviour" it'd still be worth questioning, purely because:

1. He was full of himself the other day.
2. It's the internet, and it'd be unwise to believe everything on it.
3. He does make lots of "everyone pity me" topics, plus he even wrote "I come here for sympathy" in one of his school topics. Which is the classic sign of an attention seeker.
4. Wasn't he banned for giving people a hard time? or something to that effect. Not the actions of someone who is weak and suicidial.

I personally can't believe a word of it, but if it is true then you need to stop being so self obsessed and feeling sorry for yourself so much that you can't even face a school trip and would pick death over just missing the trip itself.

Sounds too illogical to me.

Oh and may I just refer you to the classic: People who actually want to die, kill themselves right away. People who post on forums and announce it, are just looking for people to give them attention so they can say it was the forum who made him realise life was worth living etc.
Fantastic post Retroman

I never will be. Like I said , I value life. I wish nothing but peace and love to everyone , but im not going to go with the crowd on this one. The facts point out that he may be lying. Im not afriad to say that. And either way I think he is wrong for committing suicide and if its a joke , obviously , he is wrong for doing that.

And like many members are happy to point out , help is available. It would be smart of FlavaFlav to take advantage of it.

People ARE their to help.

But many are confused because you said last night you were a legend and a rebel. That does not sound like depression to me.

Well first of all -

Get off of the computer - Your problems will be growing worse.

Sit down and think of the times of childhood, the fun you have had, the times you laughed so much you have nearly cried. Think of what you have, and can achieve in life. Speak to proffesionals- they can help you.

Go outside, breath in fresh and make the most of the world around you.

Instead of doing it right now , he is spending his time trying to convince us he is going to do it.

Either way he needs SOME kind of help!

Exactly...... Fav..... just take a few deep breaths and try and take stock of the situation..... try and think positive and remember that there is happiness out there

But please call the samaritans, they will be able to help better than we can, they are trained to help you and give you the support you need

Not necessarily. Just months ago, a man logged on to a chatroom, announced that he wanted to kill himself, and most of the users took it with a pinch of salt, very few took it seriously, and some people even goaded him on to do it. In the end, the man actually did kill himself.

I personally don't know what to believe, but whether it's true or false then it is serious. If it's true, he needs help and not accusations of being a fake. If it is false, then it's very despicable of him. I hope he's not making a joke out of something so serious, and at the same time I hope he's not really feeling like this. But if he is serious, I don't think I could live with myself if I made such accusations as him being a fake, no matter how likely, logical, and rational they seemed at the time.

I heard about that story he killed himself live on web cam. I still don't believe this suicide story is true.
