Talk about nostalgia I went to see the Hollies on Sunday night. And yes I did do a 'bit of singing'. Brought back my youth. Great night out. Themed music nights sound good to me.

Mr. Sticks i would like to point out that I have never had anything to do with things that aare 'poxy'. So there !!!

everything i touch is tasteful !

But a 60's night....welll. Who can resist it !

Did you all enjoy 'Happy Hour' tomight?

There doesn;t seem to be much in the till i hope you didn;t 'hold back ' just because I was late.

pressure of work form the 'day ' job don;t you know !

Cheers !

Not me - nothing like the old classics.

Perhaps we could have a special menu e.g. prawn cocktail, steak and chips and Black Forest gateau.

It's silent here this morning, as the stragglers mull over the rather upsetting football scores from last night......
:bawl ing:

Despondency sets in ..........

Even the dragon is too upset to flap his wings.........

Let's just hope that England soundly thrash Australia (sorry Skip) at the week-end. That might make up for last night.

I shant be joining the festivities at the bar because OH and son have banned me from watching live. They say I havent watched any of the other matches and England have one - so I will have to make do with listening to the 'comments' being made downstairs.

Well perhaps I could sneak in and stay in the back room doing the washing up, would that count as 'watching' - still mustnt put a jinx on them.

I'll just join in the celebrations afterwards. Think you had better order in several crates of Champers Boris - not the cheap stuff mind - Crystal all round methinks.

Anything special planned for the bar this evening? I'm sitting here all by myself - been deserted by the family who had their evening meal and then had the cheek to disappear - the nerve of it.

So I think I'll pop in for some convivial company with like minded individuals - plus a glass or two of wine would go down well. Anyone going to join me?

A normal evening for you then Stowford !
I have had your seat by the bar ready and waiting since opening night, but it has taken you a long time to 'drop in'.

Maybe it is the Rugby that has put you off, I seem to remember that cricket is more in your line.

Now, as for the entertainment tonight....Hmmmmmmm! How about a cosy supper for all in the bar. Perhaps a two for one offer would go down well. We do have a new chef in the kitchen.

What do you say everyone ????

The chips are great here and I can thoroughly recommend them! Not tried anything like chorizo yet though .... sounds great.
