This thread is awful, I hate it that a forum member has felt the need to leave because other people are happy to call a friend awful names.

Now before you all flame me I KNOW this is a forum for opinions. However I feel That's a particulary cheap tactic to stifle debate, pull the old 'everyone's entitled to an opinion' rabbit out. That clealry makes what you've said bulletproof and not worth challeging.

Also is it not about time we all showed each other just a "little" respect, Emily is his friend, he likes the girl and surely for that we could afford him a little respect and not call her names. Express in a mature way your "opinions that you are entitled to" but come on, name calling is there really any need for it.

However I am sure the "I am always right" brigade will happily shoot this post down in flames in the name of "their opinion"

Because Emily is his friend, why should we treat her any differently. I am going to "pull the old 'everyone's entitled to an opinion' rabbit out". Shaun has been very rude to members who have given their opinions on Hope, once telling me to "**** off". I understand that she is friends but Emily has put herself in the limelight and in this position for us to give our opinions of her, and the rest of Hope. If Shaun cannot handle what we have to say about them then maybe it is best to leave the fourm until XF is over.

I totally disagree. Shaun may not be perfect but he does not deserve to have his friend insulted. You know calling Emily a slut is going to upset him but do it anyway. I find it appalling.

First of all he did not understand my whole point so that's not my fault if he's not able to understand that.
And I didn't know Emily was his friend and even if I knew it, there was no way I shouldn't have said what I thought about her. I talk straight, I say what I have to say both here and outside. There is no way I will change it for a friend of a member of a rubbish girls band.

I was saying I was as appalled as Girth at the way people will happily disregard the feelings of other members. Opinion is wonderful as long as it is used wisely. Recently many people have shown very little if any respect for other members and it is all becoming tiring. This is not just about Shaun though.
