![]() No, back to the start before someone through their doll out the pram, I think the producers either need to revamp it, or as Chrizzle suggested, axe it! |

1/2 of the winners have no talent at all - Leon and Shane Ward. Clones. The other two, well, yes they have talent, but still, winge back Leona, crying and moaning in every song, and Steve, well, Steve who? |

Aye, its the reason the Christmas songs have died out, it really is time for a Christmas song to reach No.1

I think a tweaked format would be better than a completely new one.
Instead of judges getting all boys, all girls, all groups and all over 25s, maybe its time for the judges to work together until the final 12 in each category, then they are randomly allocated (by names in a hat type method on screen, picked by the judges) 3 acts from each category each then the judges have to whittle them down however they need to with each judge taking through 1 act from each category. It would stop the whole mentality of the viewers of "Cheryl has the boys therefore she is at an automatic advantage to win" or the opposite with the groups. More of a level playing field. But I don't think the show has had its day yet, in fact talent shows this year have scored their highest figures for some time so there clearly still demand and the format isn't as tired as people think. |

Thing is... my friend got in to the final 10 in sharons group last year. And when she got out of the audition she made a 10 min speech to the cameras and the way they edited it was so horrible. They took the slushy boring bits and edited it together.
I like to think its not the contestants main idea to go out with a sob story but its pushed and pushed by the production team and they seem to get it. The only time I dont like it is when they do it on the live show, usually to get more votes. Bugs me that does. |

If it aint broke - don't fix it. The X Factor gets 9 million viewers a week and it is one of the biggest shows on British TV...so I doubt it will be axed anytime soon :L
But for the format..personally I like The X Factor because it's different to other singing shows in the fact that it allows pretty much people of all ages and the whole idea of the mentors brings a new feel to the show instead of the usual and pretty simple public vote. The sob stories are dull but I always look past them. It's not the contestants choice. It's the producers idea to get the public to vote so they can get more money. |
