I don't think it's BORING that she doesn't fall out of clubs drunk, It's just she never ever had much personality: she's too scared of upsetting everyone and is a bit of a fence sitter. A bit like Rachel. and on the X Factor i never warmed to her at all, as I knew Simon was desperate for her to win and shone really stupid praise at her at times when she wasn't even that good.
Her voice is Okay but there are a million other people who can sing like her. Like Darren said, her voice isn't ORIGINAL.
Fair enough Fence sitters like Rachel and Leona go far but it's mainly because of their die-hard fans saying "I LOVE HER SOOOO much, she's SOOOoo nice" all the time... it's like, if anyone disses either rachel on leona on this forum it's like "YOU'RE A LUKE AND BEX FAN, YOU MUST BE SOOOO EVIL!" it's like. what?!.
And fair enough, about your other points, each to their own and all that, but this is a thread for people who DON'T like her, so i don't see what your point is? your view won't change my mind, and if you want to praise Leona Lewis there is a thread for that as well...

Yeah, she's got a decent voice, but that's it.
She's not the only person in the world that can sing like that. Go on youtube and there's loads that do the octave range/ad lib thing. It's annoying, and she's not unique at all.

I'm not gonna comment on the personality because I'm focusing on the music [obvs it plays a part but my point'll never be deemed valid if I mentioned personality]

So for the thousandth time;
it's not all about voice.
I'd much rather listen to someone with a range of like.. one octave who produces good, well written, exciting/meaningful music with fantastic instrumental backing.
For me - That's almost the opposite of Leona.

&OMG Sia, I agree;; Will Young, Girls Aloud +Kelly Clarkson > Leona.
Why have the three of them been so successful?
because each one's unique.

That's all in your opinion though, its not fact that her voice is amazing. There are hundred of thousands of people who have more a less the same voice or better than her but she was just lucky to be given the opportunity to get to where she is. The problem is with most Leona fans on here, they really attack anyone who disses her, fair play but there has to some issues that you agree on with other people. It does also look quite pathetic the way some people defend her. I don't think that she's that special really, most of her songs I find so annoying, all kinda similar.
People like Duffy deserve to have the same amount of of recognition as her and succes because her voice is not samey lke all the artists nowadays, its a very unique voice as Leonas isn't really, the same as most female Pop/R&B artists. Leona Fans, we ARE allowed to dislike her, we don't have to like her and it feels like your forcing us to like her when were all entitled not to.

all really original sounds/voices who care about their music and aren't afraid to step outside the box.
And yeah, Will Young's voice isn't like anyone elses, No one can really match the amazing combination of girls aloud, who are 5 fiesty amazing singers with brilliant songs and who compliment eachother well, and Kelly has managed to carve a successful career out of being a brilliant singer, and actually HAVING a personality.

Just because he isn't internationally famous like Leona [urgh], doesn't mean he isn't succesful. He is constantly winning awards for his music/voice/style, and he's been out of the limelight for about a year because he's recording a new album.
I, for one, am a BIG fan of will. He won pop idol SEVEN years ago and is still remembered, and is still producing amazing records which he has a lot of input in.
What did Leona do? Won a competition 3 years ago, Get a no.1 single, dissapear for a year while most people write her album, come back, appear on Oprah so she's famous in the U.S.A and then be "world known". You call THAT success?

Girls Aloud = recognizable sound/voices, not many five piece girlbands that sound like them. Their sound is pretty unique too.
Will Young = 2 UK Number #1 albums, 1 UK Number #2 album, 4 UK Number #1 singles. Also 2 BRIT awards and countless nominations.

We could easily go the Leona Lewis thread and bash her there, if you'd prefer to give an argue against our opinions.

Were kind enough not to comment in the Leona thread so the best you can do is not comment for this thread as there is obviously going to be negativity about which upsets the Leona fans. And what you say is all in YOUR opinion, its YOUR opinion that she has a amazing voice. As Sia said there are many people that have her voice, she isn't unique enough compared to some artists that actually deserve that arn't getting enough recognition and deserve the same amount of success.

What does y'all think of the rumour that she's doing a duet with The Script at Xmas covering 'Fairytale Of New York'.
IMO; that's a complete travesty. The song is unique itself, and having two artists that are bland and uninteresting covering it is awful. It shouldn't happen. I don't believe it will. However if it does, I hope it flops. That song shouldn't be meddled with, especially with those two.
