Gosh this is going to be hard, but here goes

Ang has breast cancer which has spread to her throat towards the end of last year, she caught a cold some weeks ago and has progressively gotten worse since.
As much as I'd like to, I/we/most cant ignore the fact that Ang is unlikely to recover, however all your thoughts including those "get well" messages are printed out stuck to individual cards that we do read to her.
I don't know if she hears those words or not now, but as they say its the thought that really counts now. As long as I have a Mom i'll continue to be, and act like a "normal" daughter, no matter how silly it may seem.

As for visiting, that would be awkward right now given the latter stages and general condition Ang is in, she is being nursed at home, Ang refused to be moved to hospital.

Its a nice gesture though Ange7 but at this stage any forum members wishing to make personal visits are now best left on hold untill Ang's funeral service and memorial mass.
Ang has planned this already and I'll be back to tell everyone exactly where and when that is, Ang has also kept a few memento's and personal gifts for Christina that I will personally take to her (or have her collect) when the time comes.

That apart the latest news is nothing more than we knew on Sunday, Ang is critically ill and she's not expected to recover, but were still very very grateful for ALL (no exceptions) your thoughts and messages.
Thank you

Thanks for letting us all know...and "were still very very grateful for ALL (no exceptions) your thoughts and messages." means a lot.

So here's my take on all of this.

If Angie was really a woman on her deathbed, would her daughter be spending all this time updating online games? And would she change her mother's username to "AngRemembered" when she's not dead yet?

This is clearly a troll situation in my opinion.

I think it's a sick and twisted game someone is playing and I feel bad for the people on here who have been suckered in to believing that there is genuinely a terminally ill person behind it.

I know I won't be popular for posting this opinion, but bear in mind that it is an opinion and one which I'm entitled to, so don't bother lecturing me about respect, decency etc.

And, also don't bother telling me how bad I will feel when I'm proved wrong, because even if I am wrong with my theory, I won't feel anything because it's all font on a screen to me.

Hm
I think what you are missing Linda, is that for a woman who has been house bound for a long time due to her condition, this website has passed the time. And she values it very close to her heart.

I respect your opinion.

However, my opinion is that there is no housebound woman. There's merely a person behind a computer creating an elaborate role-playing social experiment.

Personally, I do believe there is an Angie who is ill. But also Linda I do respect your opinion and my opinion of you hasn't changed whatsoever. However, I also do understand why you do think this, wasn't it only a couple of months back when someone came on the forum and said a member had commit suicide, when infact it was the same person?

I do believe there is a critically ill Angie out there, and I do wish her all the best. And I also respect Linda for expressing her opinion.

IMO, thank you for letting us know Nicole.
My thoughts are with her.

Fair enough posting your opinion Linda, I don't think it was posted in an offensive way at all and if you do get any abuse over it, it'll be unwarranted.

Personally I choose to have faith that Angie is a real person who is suffering from a very real disease, and I think that she invested a lot of time on here because she was ill and clearly spent a long time housebound. For that reason, I think she would want people on here to know that she's maybe not going to recover this time - and as far as I'm aware, the account's only been logged into to post in this thread to update people a couple of times?

When I joined this forum, the first person I remembered was Angie. Not just because of her wit and how she held a strong point, but how warm she was to everybody. I then started talking to her a bit and she was this lovely, caring and thoughtful woman and a friend. She was also so open about how she wanted to stay strong and fight her illness. She was a brilliant figure on here who I seriously respected.

I feel that whatever happens, Angie will always be in our hearts and minds. I wish her family the best of luck for the future. She will not be forgotten.

You're probably not the only one Sarah. Most people would be afraid to say it out loud is all. As fom said, it's an opinion best kept to myself... a lot of people firmly believe that by saying this kind of thing they are somehow harsh and unfeeling. This is not the case. I don't see any harm in voicing it. After all, in the event of me being completely wrong, I think the people concerned with Ang would have more important things to worry about than some random name on a forum who doesn't believe a story.

I really know where you are coming from Linda, cause tbh, I have doubts...I have seen cancer first hand, and really....the person who had it didnt want to spend their time on a computer

However, I like to think Angie is a real person....but Im not sure anymore
