-awaits on-coming attack-
What has being away got to do with it? It was more or less the same when I left. I just find it amazingly boring, simple as. The whole forum and anything that was interesting about it has whittled down to just a few core members who were here all along, a load of twelve year old nutters, and lots of pop music fanatics. It's like one giant private joke you either get or you dont.

Theirs no real argument and theirs nothing serious about it, I just find it all so incredibly boring hence the thread. We are the forum equivalent of random humor. The first time somebody screams ''Cheeze!'' you give it a chuckle because it is so 'random' and 'crazy' but after awhile you realise it is just throwing out any old words in nonsensical order.

''We're on a thing called the internet. '' ... genius.
LMAO! Everything in there is true!

I don't feel I belong to any of the many categories that get banded around to list people under, but I feel perfectly included. Stu, you might want to lurk around in Serious Debates, you'll probably find posts that are more what you're after in there .

Not exactly. Do things have to be one extreme or the other? Im simply saying this whole roleplay thing bores me to tears. Hardly means I wish to spend the rest of my life debating abortion .

As strange as it is to admit this but ... I feel the same way. I know I cant say ''im too old for this sort of thing!'' without sounding somewhat pretentious but ... damn!

Do you not think you're stereotyping a bit though? In Serious Debates you're not going to come across "LOL" "jkz" "bbz" and the like; doesn't mean you instantly becoming boring; you get good quality posts in there and get meaningful discussions out of people. So you maybe don't want to be in there; and you don't like what's around, either make your own fun or don't stick around if it's not what you want? Plus BB10'll be on soon, the Big Brother section of the forum will be buzzing. Just wait it out...

I have no time for cliques!

I chat to a few individuals here and there but I find it exhausting to try and keep some sort of friendship group on the net.

Exhibit D in 'taking forums way too seriously'. Some people talk about this place like it were a museum or piece of fine art. Stick around? Stereotyping? Nah, brah. Im just stating that the roleplaying thing bores me shitless. No ticky, no tacky.

I'm not taking the forum way too seriously; you asked if anyone's tired of 'forum roleplaying', I suggested where you could go if you were bored of that kind of thing, you then went on to ridicule my suggestion and then tell me I'm taking it too seriously just because I'm doing more than "LOL at this thread"? This is one big contradiction. Just trying to be helpful...

Since this thread is partly about the whole Occult/Brotherhood malarky...and I'm the person who started the Occult (previously known as The Cult of lili).. I'd like to just add my point of view.

I am incredibly bored. I await the launch of BB, and I don't like all the pre-BB crap (eye flash, sneak peak, potential housemates etc.)

So, I avoid the BB area of this forum, cuz it's full of aforementioned crap.

But I do like chatting to some of the people on this forum, so I hang about in the non-BB area, and kill time by talking shiite.

I created a group to oppose Andyman's brotherhood. Originally the 'Cult of lili' thread was made so I could publicly take the strop with Andy for not inviting me to his thread. (A joke, clearly). Andy is actually one of my favourite members on here, and I enjoy chatting with him.. always have.

It then escalated into an actual group of people who wished to join the 'anti-brotherhood' movement.

Again, this was just a bit of fun. Nobody was excluded and it was all just light-hearted drivel.

I don't think it's taken over the rest of the forum. I don't think I'm a member of a clique, and I didn't think it bothered anyone to be honest.

It was just a way of killing time til launch..

Oh for the love of...

I would not say 'riddicule' I simply told you, in a manner of words, I would rather not spend a whole heap of time in Serious Debates. It seemed like a silly suggestion to make. Seriously. Thats it. Im trying to argue with you here but their is seriously nothing to argue.

And Linda, the thread was not really aimed at the whole cult/brotherhood shindig either. To be honest the whole Cult Of Camp [great term I just invented] bugs me more. Again, none of it is enough to piss me off, the jist of the thread was more ''Jeez, this is a really old joke now. It makes the forum less varied''.

Fuck it, maybe im getting too old .

haha...

You are not getting too old.

There are certain 'groups' on here who don't have their own thread, and don't have names or userbars, and those are the ones which I don't particularly like.

I get where you're coming from now. I genuinely did think you meant the Cult/Brotherhood crapola.. which kinda confused me a little, cuz they are only 2 threads,, but now I'm starting to see what and who you are actually referring to.

Why are you taking this so seriously? Is there any need for the "oh for the love of..."? I'm not attempting to provoke an argument with you either. Have you essentially posted a gripe about how boring you find the forum that's hit three pages; and you're not really looking for any kind of solution? Make your own fun; if you don't see anything you like on here then post something you do like? I mean no offense, and I hope none was taken .

Im not taking anything serious. Now therin lies the problem. Neither of us can prove that fact to the other, such is the nature of the internet. Theirs no need to tip toe around me, I aint a forum monster, lets just mutually agree that neither one of us is taking this serious .

'Oh for the love of...' was because I am trying to explain something that cant really be explained all that well. I dont see the whole 'solutions' thing being viable. Im not looking to add stuff to the forum, im looking to take stuff away. Namely the utterly lame, long past it's sell by date Random~Ker@zyCAMPOMFG sense of humor.
