Katie Price might have toned down her make-up lately by opting for a more natural approach; however her hair still looks anything but.

The former glamour model flew out from Gatwick airport today and landed in Manchester with hair extensions that appeared to be pulling on her scalp.

She had a full head of extensions attached to the roots of her hair, which she piled into a large bun.

If she was trying to achieve a glamorous full head of big hair though, her attempt was unsuccessful and instead her barnet just looked painful.

The Pricey arrived in Manchester solo and must have left her Argentinian boyfriend Leando back in London.

Katie Price has been getting excited about her birthday bash, which she is celebrating tonight with a fancy dress party, according to The Sun.

The former glamour model wrote on her Twitter page today: ‘You will look wicked tonight! Everything organised so I can chill today in fact haven’t felt well past few days cold on way!x’ [sic]

When it was reported Katie Price would be celebrating her 33rd birthday with a fancy dress party, everybody was keen to seen what the glamour model would choose to wear.

But, while there was no sign of the birthday girl yesterday evening, her celebrity guests certainly made up for any disappointment in their crazy outfits.

Michelle Heaton was one of the first to arrive, and was virtually unrecognisable in a bright pink wig and futuristic silver and purple outfit.
She was accompanied by her husband Hugh Hanley, who looked muscular in a Mr Incredible outfit.

Before arriving at the party, Michelle tweeted a picture of the couple, with the caption: 'Hahha me and @hughhanley on way to @MissKatiePrice Whoooo!'

But just three hours later, Michelle tweeted: 'Had fab night! One of the First ones to leave! Party poopers i know. But I ate too many hot dogs. Got bit sick! Whoopsee! My own falt! (sic) X'

Another celebrity pair to make an appearance at the highly-anticipated party was The Only Way Is Essex stars Lauren Pope and Kirk Norcross.

And it seems the fancy dress party had no theme, as while Lauren dressed as Tinkerbell in a sparkly green dress, Kirk opted for the military look in some kind of soldier outfit.

Other stars to attend the party included Katie's close friend, former EastEnders star Dean Gaffney, who made something of a spectacle of himself in a 'woman and baby' outfit.

Fellow stars on the guest list are thought to have included ex-boyfriends Duncan James and Another Level singer Dane Bowers.

Katie’s hair was left falling out in patches after a visit to a salon in America where she paid a reported £11,000 for extensions and colouring, and now she’s asking for a full refund plus compensation from the place where she had it all done.

The reality star – who was sporting the dodgy extensions during a trip to a London hotel over the weekend – spent five days at the LA salon having her hair lightened from brunette to blonde. She was initially told the process would not damage her hair, but when she got back to the UK it started breaking off.

A spokesperson at the salon said: ‘There was a big bust-up recently and Katie was making a stink. I can’t really talk about it but let’s just say I don’t think she’ll be coming back. It doesn’t bother us and to be honest it’s a relief. We handle the biggest stars in Hollywood. She’s a nobody.’
