when you are playing that number of games at the highest level, they need rotation. Also, they are not getting any younger. Playing 2 games a week in your 30's is not the same as playing 2 games a week in your early 20's

Interesting we are signing Waturo Endo for £5m

Im not mad about this as he is the Japanese captain, his stats are amazing and he will only be coming in as a squad option not a starter and can cover DM and CB

Looking online overnight .. he looks an ideal defensive utility player !


The general consensus is that you will still buy a big name holding midfielder and this guy ( aged 30) is a safety net purchase.


Defence minded but can go forwards with the ball and has a decent shot on him

He’s been the team captain for a while ..

Apparently he plays defensive midfielder or CB

I saw some stat where he went into 476 tackles in a season which is crazy !

Magpies head coach Eddie Howe confirmed his interest in Hall at his pre-match press conference on Friday morning, and indicated that the move - initially at least - would be on a loan basis

The deal will be worth £28m plus £7m in performance related add-ons.
