Anything good on the menu today - I have spent all the morning talking on the phone and have a very dry throat - so something that will slip down easily would be preferable.

Will this help your throat, BusyBee?

. . . . . . . or alternatively, I could whip you up a lovely Irish coffee.

Quiet in here tonight . . . . . . . still, gives me a chance to polish some glasses and restock the bar after Amy's last visit.

I think this bar should ban smoking and remove the cigarette machine just to make sure I don't keep thinking about starting smoking again!

Anything we can do to stop you taking up the habit again. Think we will have to contact that husband of yours to have a strong word.

I have my own patent cough cold cure

2 or 3 tablespoons of clear Honey
2 or 3 squirts of lemon juice
1 teaspoon of cinnamon

top up with hot water from the kettle

seemed to work for me

Awww, Amy, bless your little cotton socks. Maybe you need to set your sights just a LITTLE bit lower than the sublime Dermy-kins. I suspect the fighting and scrapping for him (should he become available to the populace and out of the clutches of his current amour) would be too intense for a young lady of your delicacy and finesse.

Perhaps just a man with the likeness of just a DEMI-God instead??

Anyway flower, you are not alone whilst we are here. Be of good cheer!

Apologies for my absence - been to Cornwall for the week-end, but thought I would pop in for a lunch time drinkie poos just to make sure you had something to do Kaz.

And Amy - I'm sure Dermie would drop everything and run to your side if he thought you were feeling lonely. What a way to treat his wife.

The cafe bar trade has dropped off a bit too.

the youths hanging around in front looking menacing does not help much

The head one wanted to see the manager about something, he would not speak to me, as I am not the organ grinder.

Perhaps you should arrange a clandastine date with Dermie at Boris's so you can get away from the paparazzi to spend some quality time together. I am sure our wonderful bar manager would allow you to use the 'back room' for your date - just as long as you tell US ALL ABOUT IT AFTERWARDS.
