Cher Lloyd To Collaborate With Nicki Minaj?

Cher Lloyd is apparently teaming up with rapper of the moment Nicki Minaj to record a track in the near future.

According to M is for Music, The X Factor star is said to have asked pal Will.I.Am to sort out her dream collaboration with Minaj, after working with the Black Eyed Peas rapper on her debut album in Los Angeles.

Will, who collaborated with Minaj on hit record Check It Out, has allegedly already spoken to the Young Money singer's people about a possible duet between Nicki and Cher.

A source told the music gossip website: "Cher has been telling anyone who will listen about her love for Nicki.

"Cher mentioned to Will.i.am how much she would love to work with her, knowing full well he could put her in touch with Nicki and sure enough he has."

The insider added: “They haven’t started recording yet but are looking to get together sometime in the near future when Cher is back in the US. Cher is desperate for the collaboration to happen.”

The Daily Fail strikes again, can't resist to have petty digs about Cher or generally be negative but the picture they claim to have on the article is Karim Roundi, Paije's friend (they're apparently back together) but in fact it's one of her male friends so one of the editors have made a mistake there.

Yeah good to get into there first, I would love it too if these Nicki Minaj duet rumours are true.

Can't wait to see what the final product is, judging by some of the people she's working with hopefully it will be a success and surprise a few of her critics, not that she cares what they think.

Cher whether you like her or not had lots of confidence on stage (some saw that as a bad thing) and I reckon she's improved much more vocally since the show so will be interesting to see the response and I hope she smashes it.

Cher Lloyd's parents talk frankly about her future

Cher Lloyd's parents say she's not afraid of the gossip and rumours surrounding her.

The 17 year old has just got back from the USA where she's been recording her debut album, due to released on August 22.

"Cher's been writing songs since she was 11 years old," said her mum Diane.

Cher was eliminated in fourth place on the ITV show in December and is busy rehearsing for the X Factor Tour, which starts in Birmingham on February 19.

Despite rumours of collaborating with various pop starts, Diane says the album will be mostly her own work:

"She hasn't told us exactly who else is on it, she wants to keep it a secret but Cher's collected a massive folder over the years of her own songs.

"She'd pick up a beat then she'd pick up a pen and she'd put it on paper - Cher wants to bring something new to the industry."

'Fame won't change her'

The teenager's parents say their daughter isn't phased by the limelight lifestyle that she's been catapulted into following the X Factor.

Cher's father Darren says she's still got her feet firmly on the ground: "Fame won't change her, the money doesn't matter to her - she's not interested in fancy designer gear, she only buys what she needs.

"She just wants to do what she's also wanted to and get her music out there - she just wants to sing and make people smile."

Rumour-quashing

During Cher's time on the X Factor and since she left the show, she's been regularly featured in the media and there have been a number of rumours about her personal life.

Darren says his daughter has got what it takes to become a successful and original artist - with or without negative publicity.

"Cher will deal with the rumours as and when she's ready and set the record straight."

As far as rumours about her Romany background goes, Diane says Cher's got nothing to hide:

"That's on my side of the family, not Darren's - I'm the traveller, my parents were and my grandparents were - so yes Cher has got travelling blood in her.

A family affair

The Lloyd family have described how their own lives have been turned upside down since Cher's new-found fame.

They last saw Cher at the beginning of January and aren't sure when she'll next be home or when they might visit her again.

Darren says the X Factor might have finished, but things will never go back to normal:

"What's normal now? Everything just seems to be going so quick - we really haven't had chance to think about what's happened or what's going on.

"We never plan for anything any more, just take each day as it comes - that's the best way to deal with it."

Channel 4 bosses have been so impressed with the ratings for My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, they want to do spin-off programme which would feature stars with gypsy roots - and X Factor star Cher Lloyd is being considered!

A source told The Daily Star: “No-one could have predicted how successful My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding would be.

"Ratings have topped eight million, which is amazing for Channel 4.

"It means viewers just can’t get enough of the travellers and so it’s no surprise that we’re considering a show featuring celebrity gypsys.”

The celebrities who are being lined up reportedly include singer David Essex, actor Bob Hoskins and X Factor stars Cher Lloyd and Shayne Ward.

Highlights of the show so far have included a bride who had to have a fire extinguisher on stand-by in case her huge dress caught alight and learning about an unusual dating technique called ‘grabbing’.
