I trust you put salt AND vinegar on your chips !!

Can’t believe the yanks don’t add vinegar !

Most food outlets ( Florida) don’t even have vinegar on the premises and the Floridians rarely have vinegar in their homes !!

Madness

Most countries outside the UK don’t use vinegar on chips. It’s a very British thing.

Ipswich and Sheffield Utd when being told to start attacking the Blues goal.

Hopefully Blackburn will join this wonderful list.

Rising above pettiness and setting and maintaining healthy boundaries.

Sometimes you’ve just got to leave the “yo” coming at to hang for as long as they continue to disrespect your boundaries. People are probably going to have a negative reaction to your boundaries at-least 2 times out of 5 but everyone has the right to set them, especially with people you don’t owe any kind of involvement with or commitment to (so not family and close friends). It can feel like both a little and a daunting thing to do (setting boundaries) but once it’s set it’s set. Everyone has the right to self-preservation and keeping their dignity in-tact. Self-respect is what it is, not self-absorption. And that holds true no matter how contrary the external opposition is. It’s white noise at that point. You know yourself better than anyone, and you know where the line needs to be drawn, as an individual person. You’ve just got to honour your line, and that’s especially non-negotiable to people who don’t even know you that well or personally to begin with. You don’t owe your acquaintance party-bopper anything.

The freedom strangers who are in their corner minding their business have to just be in more major cities (London, Liverpool, Manchester, etc.) rather than being overly involved with them from afar, unlike places like Chester, which because of that communal tightness are more nosy. A bit of eye-contact and a smile doesn’t go amiss (and a lot of Londoners take that stranger-danger individualism too far in the opposite direction) but … yeah. The converse doesn’t seem that great, either. Total detachment in big cities, pushed too far, can make genuine human warmth scarce, while small-town nosiness can undermine privacy.
