Tbh as much as I love the song, it's a bad single choice, it's pretty much peaking in popularity now so it isn't gonna do much better when a video is released.

EoG is so much better than Judas. I even prefer BTW to Judas. Don't get me wrong I still love Judas (waits for Smithy to point out a lyrics reference) but it feels a bit inconsistent. The chorus is a bit too different compared to the verses. If the chorus sounded a bit more like the verses, then I'd love it so much more.

It’s kind of a sad story, sorry to be a downer but my grandpa died about 5 months ago (from March 2011) and my dad and I were going to say goodbye to him at the hospice and I got out a big thing of Agavero tequila and my dad sat next to me at the piano and we just started doing shots back and forth and I wrote ‘The Edge of Glory’ on the piano and my dad and I cried

She did an interview with a German Magazine and talked about some of the songs

about Scheisse:

I wrote this song in Berlin, in "laboratory" [club], it's a very cool place which reminds me of New york clubs, when I started my career. I tried to create the new international language, which doesn't really mean anything. It's a "german gibberish", just a fun with sound of it.

About The edge of glory:

I started writing it a couple of months before my grandpa's death. I finished, when he passed away. It's about "winning the life" when you know you can "kiss the other side" because you won.

About the album

I could describe every bass line, piano part or drum beat, but we don't have time for that. I wanted to create something like the bass lines from Depeche mode, synths from New order or choir from Abba.
