The locations and brief backstories are the only things which make Most Haunted worth viewing. The actual content has no paranormal value at all and is shameless scripted fiction. Nothing ever happens, except noises and the odd item being 'thrown' - for which the only 'evidence' we have is the dialogue between the show's cast - sorry, presenters - and at any time when an inanimate object slightly moves ie a table or chair, we are never shown a full shot of the object to prove that no one has 'helped' it move.

As someone who is deeply interested in the paranormal I find the program a joke which actually lends weight to paranormal de-bunkers, in much the same way as fake clairvoyants like Colin Fry and company, are used as evidence by skeptics that all clairvoyants are fake.

It's just my opinion and I apologise if I have veered off the subject of this thread.

This is just so eerie, and evocative of the creepy 1973 Donald Sutherland film; 'Don't Look Now', which was set in Venice. Brilliant.

Unfortunately, life's realities overtook my literary aspirations, and I 'temporarily' put writing on the 'back-burner' because I had a living to earn. That 'temporary' period became ten years, but I have just started writing again, so who knows - 'que sera, sera'.

I want to visit all these places now. I could spend every day in threads like this My imagination could go wild trying to picture in my minds eye the buildings in better days and the people in and around them.

This could only be an Ammi thread

..haha..yeah I'm the 'old stuff' Suze...I know what you mean, I love to imagine them how they were and 'alive' but I also think that abandoned buildings also quite often compliment their surroundings by contrast as well and it makes them become 'beautiful' again....

Gary, Indiana, was founded in 1905 during the boom of US steel. During the 1950s, more than 200,000 people worked in the bustling city. As the manufacturing sector declined, nearly half of the city fell into disuse.

I agree, it's really disheartening to say a place dedicated to making people happy decay so much
