I'm sure there'll be a lot more possibly unnecessary talking from the judges now with ONLY 2 finalists.

The show will be great in itself from the celebrities and professionals left, doing their dances.

Although I still believe, there's likely no real chance the public will not strongly back Rose for to win this series.

I doubt there's been however a more deserving 2 finalists myself.
Well done and congratulations to both pairings.

Who this series have broken through barriers in some way and shown themselves to be great examples and entertainers.

I might not even bother watching tonight actually, it’s sort of been ruined for me without AJ being there, not only is the winner ridiculously obvious, but the only person I was supporting isn’t dancing, I don’t see much of a point

I agree with you that the competition is dead tonight.

John could get 40's for all of his dances tonight and he still won't win, and we'll never be able to try and deduce who came 2nd out of John & AJ which was the only reason to get excited about the final imo.

It's how you felt Mock and I do have to admit while I enjoyed it immensely, maybe because I had no doubt that who I wanted to win couldn't, as like you I think the presentation of this series in part has made it about other issues than a dancing entertainment reality series.
Plus, it's been clear to you and I since between weeks 4 to 7.
There was only going to be one certain winner this series immaterial what the other contestants did.
The public got behind that and Rose quickly.

I did think of your comment weeks back re like Disney routines re Rose..
During the final.

John and Johannes had 2 of the hardest dances to do again in the final.
In my view.
However I knew they couldn't win.
Neither would AJ have had she been there.

I've said for weeks, much like yourself, this series was about supporting acts in the final with Rose..
Not about anyone else winning.

So I get most of where you are coming from.

I know of people voting only because they admire Rose for being able to dance with her hearing loss.
I admire that greatly.

However, the dancing should reflect scores and votes.

I can concede to you, the dances last night saw one couple doing ' safer' dances let's say.
With the other pair giving very powerful performances on 2 of the hardest dances to be done in a final.

I think for me my Mum last night summed it up.
She enjoyed the show.
However her last words on it were, that's what it was, a show, it was not in the end a competition as the whole series has been orchestrated as to a one way traffic as to the winner for many weeks now.

I do agree mostly with that conclusion.
So your stronger view on this series and the final.
I don't think you're off the mark.

You and I were poles apart on Dan.
Yet I could see your point on his entertainment value too.

I did enjoy it, in the main as I said because I knew beyond near all doubt, firstly my own choice hadn't a hope of winning, immaterial of how good they may be.
Plus, I knew equally beyond near all doubt, the winner was already decided.

So I treated it more as a variety type show.
To just enjoy and not get too wrapped up in as a dancing competition.

As good as Rose was, this Paso was and remains my all time favourite dance ever on Strictly, not just this series.
So I have to just edge John over Rose on this dance.

I will be voting for Rose. But omg the competition was fierce.
