"In light of the tragedy last week in Las Vegas, Ryan Murphy and the producers of American Horror Story: Cult have chosen to make substantial edits to the opening scene of tomorrow night’s episode (Tuesday, October 10, 10 PM ET/PT). This opening, which was filmed two months ago and which portrays an occurrence of gun violence that has sadly become all too common in our country, contains a sequence that some viewers might find traumatic. Only the edited version of the episode will air on the FX linear channel, while the unedited version of the episode will be available on the VOD platform of your cable, satellite or telco provider, as well as on the FX Networks non-linear platforms, FXNOW and FX+.”

It means they're editing the scene for broadcast but you'll be able to watch it unedited on catch up services if you want to.

Best episode yet! I feel like this could be like Asylum where I hated the first half but after the second half became my favourite season (not saying this will beat Asylum - still too much humour and sex)

Was it just me or was there still a lot of shooting going on idk what they edited out unless I watched a the unedited version?

Maybe they edited out the gore as there was barely any blood shown.

I'm glad it didn't feel like a piece of the story was missing. Which is probably a good test of how much gore is really needed.

It was a good episode apart from the mass shooting scene because

It's so implausible that they could frame Ally for it. Meadow stepped in front of the crowds, in front of the cameras both CCTV and News and fired away, it just pushes suspension of belief too far that they could pass it off as Ally's crime especially since Kai's aiming for it to be national news.

The only way this plot makes sense is if he throws Meadow under the bus in order to get Ally out of trouble to either try to recruit her or drive her even more crazy and even then I think the whole 'twist' was quite clumsy tbh.

Next week's looks terrible though, not here for them wasting Francis on Ryan Murphy's clumsy stereotypical take on feminism.

Oh I think the twist was clumsy too. Like how would she know Ally would go right up to her and try to take the gun and not simply run away?

But now thinking back was the point not to have the blame shifted from Meadow but Meadow just sacrifice herself to get more support for Kai and also national exposure due yo a shooting.

Ally kind of putting herself in the predicament of being suspected as Meadow's ally (Oooh pun) was a happy accident.

But then the Ally stuff is the most confusing part of the season. Why are they putting so much focus on making her question her sanity.

If it was indeed so that she could be framed for a mass shooting then it failed on all counts.
