Hardly surprising, the show's been falling in ratings for a few seasons and now it's on Friday nights. This will be its final season most definitely.

The last episode was good although far too reminiscent of Up.

Spoiler:

Hopefully Rumple thought to burn Belle's body to ashes just to make sure she couldn't come back to take the fun out of proceedings in the future.

Until I've been reading around I had no idea how popular "Rumbelle" was in fandom. Talking about how well the actors work together and their chemistry.

Sorry but I've never seen an ounce of chemistry between them and Emilie de Ravin is a rather below average actress.

The unfortunate fate of Rumple as a character too. They over-egged what made him popular in season 1 and 2 and tried to repeat and redo it over and over again.
Resulting in them desperately trying to cling onto a popular character and actor long after their storyline came to its natural conclusion.

Even now in season 7, with a proposed "reboot" Rumple is sticking out as a 'writers love the actor so are desperately trying to force him to fit whatever story they tell' and it's not really working for me.

Finally caught up on the new season. Here for this coven storyline tbh. They've said the witches (or some at least) will be recognisable witches from fairytale / folklore. Come thru Baba Yaga and Morgan le Fay!

It's a shame I knew about every single plot development in the first half of the season because there were some really cool twists that I wish I hadn't been aware of beforehand but that's my own fault! Lady Tremaine being Rapunzel is the sort of thing that I used to love about this show in the first place.

I know Belle was relegated to being a spare part a lot of the time but her final episode

Andrew J West is a perfectly fine actor, Henry's just a dry role, he was a great villain in The Walking Dead.

Anyway there's lots of old characters returning for the last couple of episodes: Emma, Snow, Charming, Belle, original Hook, young Henry, Dwarves, Blue Fairy, Ariel, Geppetto, Jiminy, Granny, Smee, Robin Hood, Pongo, Peter Pan, Cruella.

The last few eps have been ok but it feels like it’s taken forever to get here and i don’t think it’s going to pay off.

When you think something is actually going to progress it just gets stopped in it’s tracks. It’s frustrating tbh

I've enjoyed the myriad of villains this season, but I suppose for the finale it was inevitable we'd return to old Rumple.
