I was wondering what her picture was at that as it wasn't discussed. She's pretty pathetic really, like she's meant to be some bargain basement Australian Russell. Seeing her big ass struggle over that obstacle and hold her team up in the challenge was at least a rare funny moment in this season. All these champion/hero reality shows now feel like they are forcing people's 'stories' at us.

So I'm up to episode 5...a few positives first (cause there aren't many)

screaming @ Steve being so blatant about searching for idols and then even looking through the pillows or whatever mid-challenge <3 tut tut @ Jonathan drawing attention to it, I like ha but he needs to stop doing stuff like that

I howled at Steve calling him Jeff though, he did NOT sound happy! also I realise I'm not supposed to but I liked Russell? I found his delusions a scream

Anyway...

I don't have a good feeling about this season at all. In fact I think it might turn out to be ****ing tragic.

It's giving me SERIOUS post-merge S3 (are we calling it S3 or S1 btw?) vibes where everyone's sitting around singing ****ing kumbaya decrying anyone for ~playing the game~, like Steve banging on about "gameplay" at tribal ugh get to fuuuuck with that crap YOU'RE ON SURVIVOR. I can't take another season of people like Sam Webb

As for the vote-offs...

The girls are ****ing CANCELLED before they've even been commissioned for getting rid of Steve, when there's a WHOLE group of misogynistic meatheads that should've been targeted first I vow to NEVER stan one of them! Anita's hate boner for poor old Paige is a joke too

In fact you know the girls are bad when there's someone as obnoxiously chauvinistic as Zac walking around - who literally used the word 'snowflake' in real life (I cringed so hard) - and you begin to think 'eh, they deserve it '

The *only* positive thing I've taken from the last few episodes is the beautiful way they edited Tegan's vote onwards at the end of ep 5, pure poetry

One last thing, I really had to laugh at the irony of a scene of Zac's sexism being followed up by a Shonee "I'm sick of it" confessional, where 'Pro-Skater's Wife' is her chyron

This season is so odd lmao. I can't really muster up a cast ranking yet, so I'll structure my thoughts into the following categories.

People Who MB. Currently Likes: Shane mfing Gould (thinking that eating sea shells and hiding them by the fire is up there with, say, Richard Hatch's most Machiavellian schemes <3 spending half an episode looking for an idol in full view of everyone, before finding one and immediately wishing she hadn't <3) Jackie (I just wish someone would look at me the way she looks at her Rubik's Cube) Tegan Tall king Heath Volcano-making king Sam Brian ANITA PAIGE FENELLA cold-blooded killer Sharn anyone else with a vagina who I've neglected to mention

People Who MB. Is Vaguely Aware Are Currently On This Show: Steve W., Mat, Robbie, Benji (his choices in allies suck, but the last Ben(ji) to go at least six episodes without a confessional turned out to be one of the biggest delights of the season, so we sort of stan a mysterious king!)

People Who MB. Just Can't Be Bothered With Right Now tbh: who else but Zach!
