I've only been Wiki-watching/following edgic for most of this season, but I love that Shane won, and I especially love that it was apparently quite obvious that Shane would win for most of the post-merge (considering the last I saw of her was the Shane's Idol saga in the pre-merge, which I guess fits in with the trend of Ausvivor winners having the least winner-esque pre-merge edits possible )

Tbh it was Sharns game but her final tribal council and her constant rambling and her actual getting lost in her words lost it for her. At some points during it she couldn’t even get the words out, her firm belief that’s being loyal is what’s win in the end is what undid it for her.

But yeah Shane is a deserving winning, she wasn’t at the forefront for a lot of post merge but she did have her hand in a lot of the game play to an extant.

So I binge watched the rest of this season the last few days, and if it hadn't been for Benji () this really would've been a ****ing chore

It was just so bleh. The cast were vanilla, Mat's endless stranglehold on the game was garbage and the semi-Pagonging of the Contenders was just irritating given they were far and away the more interesting tribe. Save for Sam, Jackie, Shane and maybe Brian at a stretch - the Champions were a ****ing diabolical kumbaya tribe of nothingness.

As for the constant hyping of the "most shocking and amazing endgame in Survivor history" lmfao bitch where?! they were desperate to sell it cause they knew it was crap...and it was

The only saving grace was the ending. Sharn sucking the shit out of Mat's arsehole all season only for him to not vote for her those umpteen confessionals about her being the "best jury closer in Victoria" or whatever the **** all foreshadowing a complete shitshow where she got fucking rinsed and ran over by Shane Gould JUSTICE for Benji!

Brian being ****ed off at the last minute and pathetic Monika blindsided - that's what you get for returning to the Champions all the time! JUSTICE for Benji!

And Shonee? Well, call that #JusticeForSteveK <3

All in all a poetic ending, justice was served

I hope they never do a season like this again (or a themed one at all quite frankly), last year's was one of the best Survivor seasons ever and this was just tripe

Let's have an All Stars with Luke, Benji, Phoebe etc before it ends up being axed instead

Was this season any good? I never got round to watching it but I probably will give it a go soon if it is decent enough to fill my rtv void. Don't know any spoilers either which makes me more intrigued to watch it.

The advertising around Australia for this is so shockingly obnoxious it's put me off the idea of watching it all together. There's massive billboards everywhere saying **** like CEO vs Cleaner or Gold Medalist vs Gold Miner with unsubtle patronizing undertones so yeah, giving this a miss for the second year running.

It's a shame because the second season was SO good

The second season was so unpredictable also.
I thought Michelle was going to win at some point!

There were some characters last year (and funny scenes, the AU version is good at showing people being ridiculous) but, from what I remember, there was a big gap between the two sides and
