I learned today our borough is doing asymptomatic testing..nothing on the London news about it though ..how many others are doing this, and how much is it feeding into the rise in case numbers

In theory it could increase case numbers for that area by 50%, more even, depending on how many they're doing. If they were testing literally everyone it could double them. Especially if they're testing under-30's who have a very high likelihood of being asymptomatic or having very minor symptoms that may not even have flagged as a concern.

You just turn up, so anyone can have a test, as long as you have no symptoms, they tested 500.00 on Saturday, they really need to split the numbers as to those with symptoms testing positive and those without, or at least clarify if these numbers are feeding into the daily totals
