LOL! I just wanted to slap them and say 'JUST SING THE BLOODY* SONG, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!'. I can't stand all that arrogant cod skat dancing around the song. It's just cover for a lack of ability when it takes four voices to churn out something that poor.

Lee Ryan's voice isn't spectacular by any means, and his solo material is even worse than the dross he churned out with Blue - who would've thought that was possible? Will Young has an extremely average voice. He has no range whatsoever, and his vocals, like his personality, are dull beyond belief. He's no oil painting either, and nor is Lemar.

James Bellamy lisped far too much, and his voice wasn't anything to write home about, either. He was also very irritating. 4Tune actually managed to turn in a worse performance than they inflicted upon us last year - they were truly painful to listen to. The Brothers were patchy, and their harmonies were out of synch. And is there really a market today for doo-wop? Alexandra was good, but I've no idea who Tariq was at all.

Trevor may well crash and burn when it comes to bootcamp, but he's head and shoulders above the likes of James the lisping lamb as far as vocal ability is concerned.
I do think Lee Ryan is over-rated, and the stuff he's doing now is worse than Blue were, which is really saying something! The only way I could watch Blue was by concentrating on the gorgeous Simon Webbe!

I think Will Young is very good at what he does, although it's not my kind of thing at all. I think Lemar is great, and very good looking.

Can someone remind who James Bellamy is please? I can't bring him to mind at all I wasn't particularly keen on 4Tune. I didn't watch X Factor last year, so didn't see them on that, but didn't think they were that good this year. I do think The Brothers are good though. They have a lot of potential. I like Alexandra, but I also can't think of who Tariq is.

I did feel sorry for that young girl last night, who Sharon had the row with Louis about, but Louis was absolutely right - she could not sing at all. He was quite harsh, but she's at stage school, so clearly wants to make it in the entertainment industry, so she's going to have to get used to a lot more rejection than that. In any event, I thought her mother seemed very pushy and it did make me wonder if this was really her mother's dream, and not the girl's dream.

Thanks BigSister. I was thinking that was Trevor, but I remember now, is Trevor the red headed guy, who Simon said was outstanding or something?

I was really shocked when Sharon went back on her word on Saturday, and put that Aron through. He didn't deserve to get through, and SHaron should have stuck to her guns.

Yeah I agree Ruth they know how to pull on her heart strings and that isnt fair..and that makes her a bad judge because she is the easy one that they can get to.

I know everybody knocks Simon and how harsh he is but thats why I like watching him. 90% of the time he is being honest and espeically at this early stage in the show he needs to be blunt with people. I think they should make a new rule where people who audtioned last year can't re-apply for 2 years after they audtioned. I personally think it is unfair how many of this years appeared last year...meaning they have alot of experience of bootcamp etc and know what is to be expected so they already have a big fan base and knowledge of how the show works.

I think Simon is brilliant. People say he's nasty, but like you say GlitterEyes, he's only being honest. And if they really want to make it in that business, they are going to have to get used to people being a lot more brutal than he is.

Can I ask who is everyones favorites so far from each age group?
Mine would have to be Shane not sure what age group he is in, Trevor & James, The 4 lads (but not the ones who appeared last year the other one.)
Does anyone stand out in the older catogory yet? I cant think of any I like from that...

There was a guy in the first show called Andy. He was a binman I think. Anyway, he is in the older category, and I thought he had a great voice. I also liked The Brothers (I think those are the ones you're on about GllitterEyes). Out of the younger category, I like Alexandra.

And almost forgot the woman who sang on the Meatloaf record. I don't remember her name, but I thought she had got a great voice. But has she got the X Factor though? Time will tell....

I liked Andy from the over 25's too Ruth, he picked a good song as well which suited his voice. There was a group with two brothers who have been trying to make it for a while who I thought did well but the younger brother should have done it on his own as he had a far better voice and proably a better chance of going further. I liked The Brothers best from the groups and from the younger group I liked Tariq who was only shown on the xtra-factor but he had a good rock voice.

I see this year there will be 12 people in the final with 4 from each group.

The Meatloaf woman was a lady with blondish hair and in her 40's.

Andy was black and bald, in his 40's and he sang a song called Song for you, I only know of it from a guy called Chip Days who sung it on American Idol 2.

No, the woman from the Meatloaf record had long blonde hair. I think her name was Janet something, but I'm not sure. Anyway she had a cracking voice. But I remember the woman you're on about - it was so funny when she said "We've come away for a dirty weekend and so far it's working out pretty well" or something like that!

True, there will be a lot of competition in the under 25's category.

I didn't know the song that Andy sang - odd really, considering that I thought he was really good! He was a black guy with a shaven head, and I just remember thinking that he had a great voice.

It's still the auditions. I read somewhere that there will be 6 weeks of audition shows before bootcamp this year. But We'll soon find out of course, unless they mention it at the end of tonight's show.
