You said her songs are just pop trash. But if you listen to songs such as 'Again Again', 'Brown Eyes', 'Wonderful', or 'Speechless' you'll realise there's so much more to her than just 'pop trash' which I don't think any of her music is trash. Her fashion sense isn't a way of getting you to buy her music. I won't get into a debate about wether or not she's naturally wacky because I've already said that in the past. If you look at a lot of her fashion, it's not just stuff she's seen and thinks is nice.. they all mean something. For example, the kermit the frog jacket was a commentary on not wearing fur. The cigarette sunglasses were a statement about American addictions, she wore hooded leotards as a homage to Grace Jones. I could go on. Her lyrics aren't what the seem. For instance, in Telephone, on first listens you may think it's about being in a club and you a tired of your phone ringing. But listen again to the lyrics, the song is about fear of suffocation. In Bad Romance, many people don't know that throughout the song she's listing Alfred Hitchcock movies. She doesn't just write about 'fame, money, boys' like what some people say. She writes about the demise of celebrity, what moneys really worth, the boys she admires. It's all incredibly dark, yet bright and colorful. Bubble-gum with razor blades in it. People hold so many unfair and prejudgist views against her. For instance, the product placements in the Telephone [the majority of which, are not product placements], was in memory of Andy Warhol, someone who without a doubt would have loved Lady Gaga. She takes things that are extremely normal, and turns them into inotive designs. She's one of the first artists in years to trully care about the visuals. I could sit here and talk to you about her until I'm blue in the fact, but the truth is.. you'll never understand what I mean until you see her live.
