she continued it, but I don't really criticize her for that....where she blew it was by dragging it out in the diary room and around the house all day....still though I don't think it was her fault....Charlie was an idiot....then the 2 mother hubbards dragged it into the gutter

It wasn't a morbid conversation until Charlie made it so. people should be able to talk about people who have died that they'd cared about. I don't see what your point is

maybe not equally as it was others who dragged it up and it was Charlie who was so insensitive and then Jackie and jemima had the humiliating death experience face off.....dan clearly wanted to tell jemima off, but I do think dan was a prat too though, hes pretty tactless

Well if we can get to the bottom of the source of the conversation, to me it makes Hazel's case for sympathy more or less worthy, given that if she didn't want to talk about the suicide, she really ought not to have brought it up in the first place. She clearly still has deep founded issues with the whole affair.

..yeah, I do think Dan is pretty tactless, equally as tactless as Charlie but in a different way..Charlie's thought processes seem a little off sometimes and she kind of took that conversation with Hazel to think that there could be a connection with Hazel and her ex splitting up and his suicide because she said that he dies shortly after...it wasn't the most tactful of questions but you can kind of understand her train of thought in a way...and I do think also that Jemima was very selfish in trying to make a 'competition' over both hers' and Charlie's emotional pain but how upset she was seemed genuine and Dan was tactless in confronting her about it when she was so emotional...fault lies with all of them, Dan as well...
