For anyone it's working for and you're using Chrome, could you follow these steps:

1. right-click just under the live stream video like and click "inspect element" like this: http://i.imgur.com/OFIvmqX.jpg

2. hit ctrl-f and search for object like this: http://i.imgur.com/54MuA4W.jpg

3. post here what it says instead of the 2538620690001 inside the code.

1) Live feed is not region blocked (at least it wasn't last night, I can connect to it fine from the US still)

2) to connect to it if it's NOT up on the c5 site with the banner, install the VLC media player from www.videolan.org It works on all platforms, unlike the Apple only app.

3)use this link to connect via VLC (use the Media>Open Network Stream menu option, and paste this full link in the window)

I suppose if you want to mail me a check, I could be paid for a free, academically developed, open source, public domain program, along with everyone else who was kind enough to provide people with the exact same link on DS. Considering it's a globally recognized and recommended alternative to WMP, that's not very likely. If you choose not to use it to view the feed, that's entirely your choice.

There were tests last night it was live from 11:30am until 2:00am.
The reason there was no announcement of it ending on 5* 7-9 was that it wasnt ditched it was just being changed from the unpopular time to a better time online.
The reason for the gap is that they had to move the equipment from elstree to the C5 offices and get them set up which took longer than they hoped.

The stream is expected to start this evening at 11:30pm but it might not.
Just keep an eye on the c5 website.

Or if it doesnt start toniight those that can keep an eye out on vlc player or winamp and try opening

Last nights feed was pretty epic it felt like the good old days for an hour or so there.

edit: that link is still online now it is up and running but just shows the eye.

Its safe Arista just download VLC player which is free and a great media player and click, media then click open media stream then copy and paste http://brightcove03-f.akamaihd.net/B...g=WYVMTRSXQKUE
Into the box and it will play.

Its only a holding screen at the moment though but i expect it will be able to stream via channel5's website either tonight or tomorrow anyway.

arista, VLC might be free, but it is a great media player!
