Yeah, whilst Hazel has done wrong, it bugs me how Daley's actions are explained as being mostly Hazel's fault but her actions aren't Daley's fault. They're both responsible. Just to lesser degrees.

Are you watching the same TV show the rest of the forum are?

Kicking Hazel and Daley out and claiming moral high ground (when what's actually happened between them is questionable) would be highly hypocritical.

If this is where Big Brother draws the line then about 6 years worth of the show would never have made it to air. The show and its producers love controversy, and this current one is tame compared to previous series.

It's a black and white issue: if you strike someone, you are assaulting them. They cannot goad you or provoke you into hitting them. He struck her. That isn't common assault, it's assault. There is no grey area. I am not "conveniently disregarding" anything, I'm telling you the legal interpretation of what happened.

I have to agree , also as a woman you cannot expect to do do anything you fancy without repercussions, smacking her on the arse is not violence and if we start screaming at the top of our voices that it might be then the real incidences surely lose their significance. Sometimes I think Woman have to take ownership of their part in situations. Respect to all people though it is an opinion I am not saying it is right for everyone.

Again... it is assault. If you're going to let that slip, where exactly are you going to draw the line?

Whatever Hazel did, it does not justify her being struck.

But then when someone is slapped in the face and they are punished for it do you not enter a grey area?

How is slapping someone hard on the arse, hurting them, different to slapping them in the face or any other body part? It's assault.

Also, it's not just that incident, but pinning her down, grabbing her by the throat and using threatening language with the way he warned her he "would get scary".

It was Daley who chased Hazel knowing full well that he has a GF on the outside (he confessed his love for Kate on week 1 in the diary room) It was Daley who poured countless beers down his neck last night. It was Daley who pinned her to the bed, grabbed her by the throat and we all know what he said leading up to that. No sympathy for him here.

I agree with everything except the countless beers things.
Hazel said to him last night that he shouldn't be so drunk on:

"2 glasses of champagne and a mojito".

He didn't say that he had anything more than that. He certainly looked drunk to me but I can't understand how he could be so drunk on so little. He seemed sober going to the diary room. Maybe he wasn't as drunk as he was making out to be?

Yeah everyone seems to think he was really really drunk, I thought so too myself by watching them that they both seemed very drunk until he went to diary room. Maybe Hazel just got the amount he drank wrong.
