Beyonce has really forgettable music bar a couple of stand out tracks, her career is mostly bolstered by the fact she's a phenomenal performer and has interesting music videos.

JLS ought to have been Britain's biggest boyband but aren't because they chose to release crappy dance music for their entire career and that's why they've fizzled out.

The Spice Girls were utterly crap and there is no logical explanation for their success.

Smack My Bitch Up by The Prodigy is the best music video of all time.

Radio 1 has a vice grip on the music industry and is ruining it because of its desire to "break new artists" all the time; and by the same token then don't play music by established artists (that they "broke" a few years previously) so that they can play new music instead. It is killing the music industry and it is the sole reason why we don't have any long standing artists who have reached legend status since about the 1980s.

Olly Murs is only successful because there are no other white male British popstars in competition with him.

The Saturdays are only successful because there were no other girl bands in competition with them for the first 4 years of their career and now all of a sudden there's Little Mix, Stooshe, Girls Aloud (briefly), Mutya Keisha Siobhan, Neon Jungle and I'm sure countless others emerging or establishing themselves and I'm fairly certain The Saturdays will fizzle out in the face of such competition.
