If I was a contestant my ideal scenario if I wasn't to win would be reach the final,build a fanbase and get signed by someone else tbh lol.

This is why XFactor snubbed Matt Cardle as he wanted to do his own stuff,he signed to another label and they didn't like it,as it happens Matt is doing nicely for himself,bit childish of XFactor to snub him though,but doubt he cares that much.
