Definitely this.

The crowd were shouting Jim (I think) and never started to chant 'off' until Linda got really abrupt and rude with Emma.

I agree with Jack, really. Regardless of who goes in or goes out, I think they should all get cheered, because they have to be such good sports in order to take part, and have been cooped up in there for days or weeks - it can't be easy.

They don't have to be good sports to take part, they get paid a hefty fee for sitting in there and that's the reason most of them do it.

They want fame! It's not the result of their unrivaled social conscience.

linda was rude at certain points during the interview (not sure whether it was intended or not) but that still doesn't give the crowd the right to chant her off .

Civilians are the same. They apply to take part in Big Brother. They are warned and prepped that they could be hated. They still do it.

The fact is, it brought down the mood in the house for them and became tedious, not only for them, but the viewers too. Their last spat, caused by Linda, over Jim offering her a knife to cut the food he made for them. That was completely unnecessary and it was caused by Linda's obsession with Jim and her need to hate him. Most of the time Jim couldn't say anything without that witch jumping on it.

IMO the crowds reaction to her was completely warranted. If you offer yourself up for judgement on Big Brother and act like a ****, you're going to be treated like one. But Linda refusing to answer Emma's question and doing so quite rudely sparked the chanting of "OFF"
She should of known there would be talk of Jim in her interview, she's spent the last three weeks consumed with hatred for the bloke, gone out of her way to try and get people on side, which is evident with Luisa, Sam and Liz. She's done everything in her power to get people to dislike him.

They know, before they go in they could come out 'hated' yet still participate. Fact is, they have to expect reactions like that, especially if they act like arseholes whilst earning their buck.
I'm sorry I don't agree, lineas point that they only see 45 mins is valid.
It's not unheard of for the edit to make situations seem worse than they are.
The OTT hatred isn't justified at all, I think some perspective and a little objectivity is required here.

Nobody forced an opinion of jim on luisa and liz at all, to even suggest that is rather insulting imo it's suggesting that liz and luisa can't formulate an opinion of their own based on their personal interactions with jim...
They're competent and intelligent women, not schoolchildren.

..I'm a bit conflicted about this..,on the whole, I don't like the booing/chanting, especially when it's with friends/family because it's stupid to do that when they have come on eviction night to support the person they're related to or friends with, that's a natural thing to do and booing them for that is just ridiculous...

...I don't like that anyone is booed and would never do it myself but I think with celebrities and unlike civilian housemates...for them it's a job with a paid fee etc..and like anything else that they would do and be paid for as entertainment, it's going to be praised or criticised by both the media and the public...that's all part of being a 'celebrity' and what they do for a living..I guess it's no different in a way from them doing a live performance which is rubbish and the audience conveying that to them...yeah, they're 'put themselves out there' to be scrutinised/judged etc...but that's what they do for a living anyway with every 'performance' that they do and the crowd is just saying 'you were rubbish..'...it might be unpleasant but it's understandable as well...

If you arent a silly little twat you wont get a bad reception its that simple.
If you behave like a twat you will get treated like one and rightfully so.
I dont get why people defend it unless they are...... No i wont go there.

The crowd adds to the atmosphere I think but I think interviews should take place on a studio so the crowd doesn't disrupt. Loads of times you can tell that the interviewee is distracted by the crowd so the interview ends up rubbish.

I don't understand the mentality of it, if someone is chanted off then the show would end early for them.

People Booing is fine to a point but when they start saying OFF OFF it just wrecks the interviews which i want to listen to no matter the housemate.

Yeah during the eviction, during the interview I wish they would shut the ****** up, I want to listen to the questions and answers not the fucktard crowd chanting aimlessly.

They are pathetic, they queue for god knows how long, stand in the rain only to not listen to what they actually went to see in the first place.

by that stage it does not matter that person is out.
I think all of us wanted linda to get booed, she has been queen bitch, tried to turn who ever would listen against jim.

the growd wait for hours in the cold and rain, so they have the right to shout what they want, after all we are at home in the warm and dry.

I actually was on the crowds side, i'm sorry but she is a vile, sour faced grump who wants to argue with everyone, o you only see 46 mins of it, shut the f up Linda in that 46 mins of it, you was pretty much moaning at anyone who listened, and it just shows how bad she is when she abruptly interrupted Emma, which was so rude, and the whole i am not talking about Jim in the whole interview and yet every question which Emma asked about something else she brought Jim back up. thank god she has gone.

And not only that but CBB showed us the start the middle and the end of the arguments aswel, who cares about the rest we all saw with our own eyes how Linda pretty much twisted everything what jim had said and had a go, yes Jim hit a low blow about her husband but before that she was chipping away at him all the time, and the fact is he ain't here to defend himself and yet it's well documented that he had been stealing the money for weeks, and she prob more bitter because she probably knew about it.

Imo anyway.
We get more than 45 minutes, we also get Youtube with the rest on it. If Jim had a big row with Linda it would be on there.

Ok, what's the point of coming to an eviction show (where the eliminee was so obvious) when you don't even want to watch/listen to the main part (which is the interview)?

You might as well just stay at home and watch the highlights and forward through the eviction part of it.

To be fair, I hardly side with the crowd, BUT apart from the boos when she left (as almost everyone gets), the crowd were quite somber. It was when Linda started blaming the editing and had a go at Emma regarding Jim and what they were showing, is when the crowd started chanting Jims name and "Off".

Also, Liz's reaction wasn't that bad at all.

They can boo a housemate when they leave the house to show they believe their behaviour wasn't acceptable (yet they boo some of the nicest people and cheer utter bellends, ******** they are) but when the interview begins, they shut up... that is what they've gone for, they can't grasp it, go to an eviction and there will be an interview. Clueless, braindead eejits.

Sometimes the crowd can be over the top with the booing, but on this particular occasion they were spot on! Linda was a vile bitch & deserved every single boo & 'off' that was thrown at her... I mean the she said she didn't want to spend her interview talking about Jim, yet that is all she talked about, the woman is deranged & obsessed & clearly needs psychiatric help...

It's just a night out for them i think,Go out,Get pissed and boo some minor celeb.I think it would ruin the atmosphere if they were'nt there tbh.Even if we don't always agree with them.
