It's her opinion, and I believe she has every right to have her opinion but obviously given the nature of the show there is nothing wrong with judging her negatively because of it

Every bigot has their story as to how they became one. It's their choosing. You come of age and decide where you're going to go from there. If you walk around spouting homophobic garbage you're going to be chastised for it. If she can't take that, then it's time for her to either change her views or keep them to herself. Gays and lesbians get enough crap from society, and have so for centuries. We live in the 21st century. We're exposed to just about everything today. Unless she grew up living in a cave, she's been exposed to gay people. She can't claim ignorance. She's also an adult. In five years she'll be 30. Stop talking about her as if she were a little kid. You're always going to find people on here playing the contrarian just for the sake of it, or you'll find people who just want to see the best in everyone. Sorry, a spade is a spade. If she said something along the lines of black people shouldn't have the same rights as whites, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. |

The VTs are always stupid and biased for some over others. If I back anyone it will have to be about more than whether I agree with every belief they have. Most people's beliefs will be hidden anyway with the miniscule live feed and the inane twitter updates.

I'm Catholic, my family are catholic, I went to a catholic school so all my teachers and friends were catholic and literally none of them are homophobic. She has been brought up wrong and she is a terrible person.

Homosexuality is considered in Catholic Church teaching under two distinct aspects. Homosexuality as an orientation is considered an "objective disorder" because seen as "ordered toward an intrinsic moral evil", but not as sinful. Homosexuality as sexual activity is seen as a "moral disorder"and "homosexual acts" as "contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity." The Catholic Church believes that marriage can only be between a man and a woman http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homosex...an_Catholicism So either you are lying or they are? The obvious answer here is that what's being described are "cultural catholics"... People who have been raised Catholic and come from Catholic families and often Catholic school, but who don't actually follow the doctrines of the Catholic Church and only vaguely believe in God (if at all). My dad's side of the family is full of cultural Catholicism.
In truth, if someone is a Catholic who does not think that active homosexuality is sinful and who supports same sex marriage, then they are not a "Catholic" at all. The Bible is very much open to interpretation but, if a person does not agree with the Catholic church's interpretation, then they are by definition something else. They are someone who has created their very own little branch of vague Christianity, membership 1. Until some enterprising individual groups together all of these liberal ex-Catholics into one group United under one new Bible interpretation... And then we get (yet another) whole new church. Hooray! Tl;Dr - I don't like organised religion (or Danielle) |

She's a bigot. There's no defending that. She's a horrendous person who has chosen to live a life full of hate. She can hide behind that Bible all she wants.
