..I would say anyway that Chris is the forum favourite in general but we only have a few female housemates left...Zoe is new and not making the best of impressions so it's down to Ashleigh and Helen as females we prefer and there are also many Helen fans as well as Ashleigh ones and with both, their physical appearance have had nothing to do with preference..for most anyway....

Then Helen and Kim dash out all joyful and smug like schoolyard idiots and Helen started in on Ashleigh, just as BB wanted her to. Did she cry? Cower? No. She told Helen she was pathetic and to get over it.

4. When she is nominated for eviction she takes it on the chin, whereas when Ash is nominated he says he doesn't deserve it and he shouldn't be up - and Helen goes ape**** that someone would dare nominate one of her harem. It doesn't matter that SHE also nominates those she likes less.

5. Ashleigh gets voted power HM and told she has immunity, then it is taken off her. BB strikes again. Does she rant like Steven about being up? No. She takes it on the chin even though it was a cruel twist.

BB has thrown more at her than any others (Helen only got one quote about Kim and she nearly had a breakdown).
There is a lot more - but nobody wants to read an essay.

The girl is amazing for one so young. She's mature, intelligent, smart, funny, savvy, composed and very strong.
And I take offense at being told I only like her because of her looks. She's a KID. My youngest daughter is older than Ashleigh. I like her because she's playing a cracking game with composure and dignity and all of the above.

Contrast that with Helen....now you tell me why she is a fave?

bloody well said Jet. That's how I feel about Ashleigh. The fact that she can sometimes be a bitch, in my mind, goes in her favour, because without that gritty strength, she would have crumbled and been a snivelling wreck, much like Steven when he gets nominated.

Ashleigh has shown how it should be done with honour and dignity. I think she's great.

..hmm, that's almost a perfect post.....and when she tried to strategize or manipulate Ash not being saved whichever way people would look at it, I think she saw him as the closest to Helen and a way to fragment the 'group' ..but has grown to like him/they seem to have a new respect for each other and that's also not always present in an 18yr old..that she can reflect and her opinions can be changed..?...some young people have it but not all do/it's a good and admirable trait...I like you have sons older than Ashleigh, have no interest in her appearance and find it beyond ridiculous that, that should be levelled as the only reason to like her when she has shown many good qualities in the house...but also, she can bitch with the best of them, so that wipes all of those out..?..but yeah, perfect post Jet..applause, applause......

I have never really liked Ashleigh, she was for me,the most boring, inactive and surly housemate for weeks when the series started.

All she has really shown me is her 2 faced side, where she has plenty to say bad about people but 'never' to their faces,only to others.
Hence her being caught out in vt playbacks and while others watched and heard her.

However, one thing I find myself irritating is her age being held up as she needs to be thought of as special because of that.
When my Mother was 18 she was married,had a baby and was running a home after marrying my Dad on her 17th Birthday.

Ashleigh is an adult,she was well able to apply and get on BB and her age should never be a factor.
Having said that, she has been one of the most miserable,surly and whining 18 year olds I have come across for most of the series.
Showing a really vindictive streak in that she cannot get to Helen so has used Ash to get at her.
If all we had in the house from the start was 16 Ashleigh's then as someone put it,watching paint dry would have been more exciting.

She has admittedly done and got better in the last 2 weeks,I readily admit to that and even moreso now Danielles gone.
All that however went before, is for me, probably how she really is and this new attitude is conveniently appearing in the run in to the final.

Back to who this thread is actually about, Helen, well she doesn't need to be any different really,she is already in the final, no matter what.
Whatever happens there won't really matter, both won't winin my view, and both are finalists.
This is also now the 2nd time Ashleigh has been given immunity for being nominated as well,so she has had help too.
Just as Helen has had great help, the public chose Pauline to be the power housemate,with that power from the public, Pauline was asked to select 'any' housemate for a free pass, she chose Helen.
Both have had good assistance to reach the final and as to Helen's journey, I would guess,only guess, that Helen has learned far more about herself than Ashleigh ever will as to herself.
