its only a TV show though, if this was Scream 5 we would be 45% through with the film and probably had about 4 murders so thats why it comes across as a little boring, we potentially won't know the killer until ep13 or we might have to wait till series 2.

I know it was a little dull at times but overall there was some suspense. Its very modern, I liked how at the huge party there wasn't a murder and normally there would defo be one. I also think having sexuality as a theme is also good because scream 1-4 everyone was hertrosexual as far as I can remember, where as the TV series has far more modern elements and embraces different sexuality which is what most society is doing.

The social media element is very compelling, it consistent but not OTT.

Glad we still have the same scream voice.

Apparently the killer was vey distance in the first episode.

I'm going to have a wild guess and say its the male teacher who a lot of the students fancy.

Or I think the police officer (sheriff Hudson) would be a brilliant choice for the killer working a long side his son (Kieran) and they have something to do with the guy who got shot in the lake (90s serial killer) and are getting revenge on the mother and daughter.

Hey Scream fans I'm running a competition on this thread which will need you to put your detective minds on and PREDICT who the KILLER IS!

The winner of the competition will receive a gift which is Scream related and will be sent to you once the killer is announced.

The winner will become a Scream King or Queen and your user name will be at the top of the thread.

Fancy giving it go? Then write the name of the character in the comments - you may give a reason/theory to why you think the character is the killer.

The competition closes once episode 3 has finished just to make it is a fair as possible, as certain clues could be giving throughout the series giving people an unfair advantage.

you may CHANGE your prediction up until episode 3 but then the competition goes into lock down, no one can change their option nor enter the competition.

If you think the killer isn't in the series yet then write your prediction as "Other", if the killer is an "other" then the people who selected that option will have to take part in a difficult 5 question quiz on the show, the person who gets the most right wins, if it's a tie the quiz will carry on until theres a winner.

If people bet on the same character and they turn out to be the killer then each one will receive a prize!

I will be taking part but my vote doesn't count!

I thought it was watchable, **** but watchable.

Mysterious dark sexy newcomer is too obvious as is the jock boyfriend with the distracting lips. It's definitely not the film geek and it's too obvious to be Lesbian Haircut girl. It's not gonna be the douchy bro either. My top four guesses are the teacher, the asian girl, the sheriff or the bitchy girl with the most unnaturally straight hair ever.

I dont think the mask is actually that different, in photos released before the show it looks completely different but it looks quite similar on tv - it just looks like an alternative one to the original.
