It isn't beautiful to be unhealthy when you can do something about it and it doesn't make you deep to defend being fat because you're only defending it to appear deep to others when in fact you aren't.

Being fat is unhealthy and it leads to a worse quality of life, it's not something that should be glorified.

The way I see it is that if a guy or a girl poses no threat to the men and women who are in the audience of the launch shows they get cheered. Jack is a bit on the obese side and the men were probably not jealous of him and the women loved him so he got cheered. Any model guys or girls get booed because they are the opposite. I may be wrong but if you heard the crowd reaction to everyone tonight Jack probably got the best

He didn't mention pleasing others. His entire point about obese people has been about the effect of their obesity on their own health, not how good they look to other people.

When did I say it was to please others? You should perhaps stop trying to post empty platitudes that might get you a few likes from vacuous people on facebook but otherwise add nothing to the topic and actually read what I've said.

It's a quality of life issue, fat people should aim to be healthier to increase their own QoL. My weight goes up and down and and I always feel much better and alive when I'm healthier than when I'm fat.
