A really random thing I've noticed as well is that whenever LI features music on the highlights shows it always feels natural and fitting for the scene. Whenever the BB editors put music over scenes it's always cringe as ****.

No it wasn't, it was aimed at everybody, young and old. It's so ironic you say this because nowadays the majority of BB fans of the C5 version are middle aged where as when it was on C4 everyone watched....

It's always the same music on BB too

like they have to squeeze every last drop out of their music licences

Yeah wasn't there a BBC article which said that 60% of BB viewers were over 50 or something

C5 put no effort into BB, give it no promo and they don't have a clue what their viewers actually want. No matter how many times people tell them what they need to do to improve they ignore it and try to copy whatever other reality show is popular at the time.

The Love Island promotion this year was insane, I must've seen or heard (I still have the music in my head) the ad over 100 times, it was on like every ad break on ITV

C5 just don't give a ****, the BB18 promotion (if you can even call it that) was the worst ever. I can barely remember the advert

As much as I hate what C5 have done with the show I don't think it's completely fair to blame them on how tacky it is. Most of that started in CBB7 and BB11 and C5 just continued with it.

Half your C4 cons don't make sense other than if you've only watched like bb4 or something...

I’m talking about compared to C5.
BB1-4: all similar
BB5-11: the same concept; they all had slight variations but they were basically the same

BB12-13: TOWIE type series, completely different to C4
BB14-16: Introduction to themes
BB17: “the game is changing”

What I’m trying to say is, C5 try to make each series completely different; whereas C4 used the same basic concept every series

They've had 6 years to sort it out, they can hardly say 'it's all we knew from the last C4 series!'

I agree, but Channel 5's editing is in a whole new league of tackyness. If it was still on channel 4 they would have listened and made the editing less horrific but Channel 5 always seem to do the complete opposite of what people want. It's infuriating.

The only theme I remember/had most potential was BB15s but idk how long the power HM thing lasted for as I switched off after Toya left

They've literally had the show for 6 years and they haven't taken one single positive step to improve the production of the show. Maybe one exception was when they introduced daily live feed for BB14 (which COINCIDENTALLY is their highest rated series ever) but then they scrapped it the next year for no apparent reason.
