Can you recall the first highlights show when Tom had to do that facebook chat and most of the responses were among the lines of 'you iz well fit xx'?

It's not attacking anyone to state the fact that some people will vote for HMS that are good looking. It's a proven fact if you look at the results over the years.

who are the "thirsty voters" ?

Obviously the people I spoke of in the post you quoted but did not seem to read.

I know you're trying to fish for a certain response but you aren't going to get it.

It's not hard to see that certain types of people tend to vote certain ways

Look on FB or Twitter and you'll see that older women tend to prefer the "nicer and quieter" HMs usually male - like Sam BB14 and Joel BB16
On Twitter you'll see the younger audience - usually male tend to LOVE the outspoken females - like this forum - Chanelle etc

However this series does seem to be an exception to the "older women" stereotype as many supper Debs and Issy

But this is fact not an attack - and doesn't ALWAYS apply (like the stereotype younger girls always love hot males in the show yet AmyJade has flawless taste in HMs)

I liked neither so I don't like being sterotyped, its incredible that young people are stereotyping in this way I thought the newer generation were a bit more clued in and I find it a shame.

Demographics aren't stereotypes, they often come to be as a result of research since they are mostly used for advertising purposes. They aren't meant to be a definitive reflection of everyone but of common opinions and trends within a group.

Both Sam and Joel were my faves haha, I'm the voice of the older women and I didn't even know it!

I was about to make a very similar point though with the bb17 series.

Compared to other forums, Twitter was shouting a lot louder for Evelyn, TiBB shouted louder for Jayne, Facebook for Jason, and DS for Andy - with Hughie getting love all round, and Georginas family voting Jackson.
They were all shouting similarly on the whole but there were definite spikes for certain housemates depending on where you looked, its silly to ignore that fact.

I think the same can be said for ages and genders, and I think tibb is missing a large part of the standard voter demographic.

And now you've hit the nail on the head. It is missing from TIBB and the reason for that is the constant childish put downs from the younger generation.

I guess I could be classed as a "cat lady"....I am over 40 (only just but sob), I have a cat but I am so not in the least bit offended by the term. Sticks and stones and all that. Petty name calling has been going on all season, Snake Boy, silly mis-spelling of names etc so maybe I've just become immune to it

Most people around my age that I know are voting Issy though so hope that helps Withano

Deborah... or Raph.
I don't see why they would vote for Tom.
The only votes Tom is getting is from the crew fans...

You're being completely irrational

This is another good point to take into consideration, certain demographics, such as a Welsh demographic, are more likely to vote more than once and that wouldnt be reflected in any poll either. Manchester may feel similarly for Issy, and London for Deborah, whereas Raph is less likely to benefit from a city pride vote

I am not at all irrational, as many other posters have pointed out but you continue on ignoring that fact. You stated that TIBB is sorely lacking in the standard ordinary voter and I explained to you the reason why.

Older people will not come on here to be insulted constantly. Therefore we just go off to more mature forums. Simples.

im not sure when the right time to bring this up is... But the poll results are the complete opposite to tellymix.
Although, it's not unanimous, and I feel like it could have been in past series'.

Your poll is inaccurate as most of the pollsters are not older women

I'm not having a go at you Withano Nor do I think an entire demographic should be 'ignored' as you put in a post earlier. I just don't see why it should always be insults and implications that they don't have their own mind and so on tbh. All series a select group of posters have been very insulting towards older people (usually as they do not like chanelle...so they are automatically jealous old cat ladies) despite knowing this is against the rules. Its being ignored and the insults and implications keep coming. Maybe this is not the thread to bring this up in but it seemed relevant with the argument already going on...

I really cannot wait for off season when everyone gets normal again and stops insulting each other and baiting and just...get along

sits in a corner singing 'happy happy house, happy house, happy house'

Edit. It goes the other way too. Some series we get posters annoyed that a young goodlooking guy survives eviction and blames it on the 'teenyboppers' who are' thirsty'. X factor is particularly bad for this. people seem unable to accept that others have a different opinion and because of this they make the person out to be a ****ing idiot who is voting with their vagina...as my sig says

you articulate so well so much of what I am thinking, I'm bored witless by the constant theme that women/girls only vote based on who they find "hot" and this from a forum that professes to love women..bizarre

Are you sure you Gran isn't thirsty for Tom, surely she must be sitting at home desperate for a look at pecs
