Yeah I'm sorry but the Face Off thing is such bull****, I don't know why TAR thinks it's a good idea. The whole leg is made pointless and all comes down to luck-based challenges.

Some belated commentary:

-I don't think the Head to Head twist is that bad itself, but it needs to not be AT THE PIT STOP because that's kind of ruinous. Similarly, having the U-Turn right after the airport and before the Detour is similarly stupid.
-Kristi and Jen are still supremely boring :3
-this season is....... fine I guess? Like I'm glad the ratings are great and TAR will surely get renewed, but it's tough to care about any of these teams that much? Henry and Evan can be fun and so can Alex and Conor, but Lucas and Brittany really aren't doing *it* for me and I probably wouldn't care about Cody and Jess if I didn't know them from BB. Speaking of, ~CPN Jessica~ is so ****ing lukewarm and I don't know what's more disappointing, the next episode previews continually hyping her up or Brittany overreacting for no reason.

IDK, I miss TAR29 and it's a tall order to follow up that stellar season, which this forum hated for the stupidest ****ing reasons??? Bring me back some Brooke Camhi please and thank you.

I've enjoyed this one overall, mainly because some of the tasks have been good and there's been self-navigating in a few legs. And at the end we at least have two out of four teams who have some character, the BB team and Evan and Henry. Hope they both make final 3.

The head to heads weren't a clever experiment though, it made the race element pointless for the final two teams, they should never be at the end of the leg. And having the u-turns before the first detour didn't make sense really, one of them was set up so only those on the last plane were likely to be in danger. I did like the team swap, it was a nice variation on the intersection, I wouldn't mind that brought back. The Kafka phone task retread was nullified by teams working together.
