You may think it is ok to put specific types in a box, but other people have different views.

The Daily Star article is saying that there is going to be 7 Gay people entering this years Big Brother 8 house

So if this takes place? Then they are placing them in the BB house (because they are Gay)

It is a way of changing things.

But we don't know as yet, whether it is going to happen? It is just an article from one of our favourite Newspapers

people are people, i hate all this labelling, it shouldnt have to be said in 2007 that using the term "gays" is not pc, and for those of you who think political correctness is a bad thing, then its a poor reflection on yourselves. Some of the best BB housemates were homosexual : Anna, Brian, Marco, Dan, Richard, Craig were all high entertainment characters. For someone to turn around and say "you cant but seven gays in a house" is disgusting. its the exact same as saying "you cant have seven straights in the house" i am shocked at some of the comments made here and thank God for people like ~~ and Adäm because without them the world would be a terrible place.

in most cases, thet put gays in to spice things up because generally they are entertaining-not saying they all are, but most of the gay housemates have been entertaining, but if they put 7 gays in, i dont think it would be because they are gay, i think some of them would be in just because theyre personalities are good, excluding their sexuality.

I think it would be better to do things as they usually do and have an even spread of housemates, just as normal.

This idea of letting 7 Gay people entering the house, is just going to upset the balance, I think?

Many will disagree with my view, which is understandable As everyone has different opinions.

Personalities are important and regardless of sexuality, good housemates, make a good show.

political correctness exists and nobody can change that. Sometimes it has to be done, as it is safer and more secure.

There have been some great Gay housemates and Endemol would never change that. It is going to happen this year, there will be a Gay housemate or more. But we can't say for sure as yet.

Some members on this forum, would prefer that this years BB8 should not have 7 Gay housemates and some would like it. That is true.

However, to say that it is disgusting, that is not my opinion. Gay people are just like the rest of us. Accepted...

The members " ~~ " & " Adam " are indeed good members, but there are plenty of other good members too, who are very happy to accept Gay people in our society today.

But if you are happy to say, that "the world would be a terrible place without them???" Then that is your opinion.

I have to say I hate the way this thread is turning, we are discussing people who are gay as if they have some kind of illness!!

Why does someones sexuality have anything at all to do with their entertainment value as HMs.

I think that the key is to remember they are all people, they are all going to be HMs and lets see how it all pans out, maybe time for criticism is after the show has been launched if we dont like how it pans out.

Also I would like to remind people that some posts on here are bordering on homophobic which will NOT be tolerated by the Admin and Mods on this site

i didnt mean that its disgsting that there there- i meant the way some people were talking about homosexual people in the past day in this thread was wrong. i gave ~~ and adam as two examples of people who from a glance stood up against the people such who said it would be wrong to put seven homosexual people in the house. Personally, i dont judge people by sexuality, gender is not a boundary for me, but i have no problem with anyone who disagrees with me as long as they use respectful, pc language and can give a decent point backing up their opinion.

cool! because my best friend is gay and it just angers me some of the stuff people say about her. You are right, people are people. At the end of the day, as long as they are good big brother housemates, thats all that matter-sexuality is only one aspect of life, after all.
