have Stopped the Criminal Drone.

Wait... so there's tech capable of tracking and jamming drones, but it's not installed at every airport as standard? seems like an over-sight doesn't it?

it's not an oversight as it can interfere with aircraft too, so its a bit of an extreme measure.

It seems odd that they've eliminated the minuscule chance of a drone collision by using equipment that might interfere with aircraft equipment? Is it any safer?

detained "in the Gatwick area" shortly
after 10pm on Friday.
The arrests were part of "ongoing investigations
into the criminal use of drones which has
severely disrupted flights in and out

Its a big wake up call to the airports who make passengers jump through many hoops for 'safety' reasons when they need to be looking at their own security, measures, passengers should be compensated because the airport has now done enough to secure itself against this type of activity
