But as someone said about needing to look at the context between "white power" and "black power" people need to look at the context of this as well. It's young students at a party, most must be drunk and probably being edgy for the sake of being edgy... likely thought of it as a joke while being ignorant to how significant it is or can be.

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions about this being racism unless they look into these students' history to see if they follow this ideology or not, etc. I wouldn't be surprised to see this being a one-off ill-advised joke from at least a majority of the people there

Most people in today's society aren't adamantly racist towards others but a lot of people can be immature and not realize the impact of something they're doing for fun or as a joke... especially younger kids / young adults (especially at a party or environment like that when drinking).
