Not to go all Jordan Peterson but hierarchies are inevitable, and if the current system is outright discarded, it could be replaced by something much worse.

Like when Oliver Cromwell executed Charles I, and the UK lived under Puritanism; it sucked so much the people got rid of Cromwell II and retrieved Charles II from France and plonked him on the throne. People thought they didn't want a Monarchy, but the reality was pretty different.

Tangeants aside, what I'm saying is, a Parliamentary system is probably the best we could hope for, so let them keep voting for cake.

There's no way his was careless or made a mistake, he'd have all kinds of accountants with the money he's got. He misled parliament more than once over this and he was Chancellor of the Exchequer, for God's sake. I mean, you really couldn't make it up. It's right he's gone but he should never have been in any of his previous posts from the time problem came to light.

also, he resigned as a cabinet minister, then took a new appointment and then recommended that Boris should go, all on the same day. If that doesn't tell people what type of person he is, what does?
