That isn’t what happened Kate. I was good to you. I lent you money even when we weren’t on speaking terms as I didn’t like the thought of my own mum being in some of the situations you’ve found yourself in. Even today I was considering lending you the money and telling you not to bother paying it back or contacting me again as I know we aren’t on speaking terms yet again. I wish you well and hope you find a way out of this endless cycle.

To be honest, Kate, I don’t think Cal was implying that at all. S/he’s just trying to give you practical solutions cor how to manage your finances a bit better going forward. I don’t get involved in drama but unfortunately there’s a certain limit beyond which most people aren’t going to feel obliged to keep the confidence, which is one of the reasons why I said I don’t think you should be as open a book on this side of the internet.

Kate, I sympathise with you and I hope whatever financial hardship you’re going through is eased and gets sorted in the end. But you really need to help yourself before others can help you. There’s many outlets to try and find a working from home job if your reason for not working is long term sickness. Put yourself out there because there’s definitely places you can go to make ends meet.
You should definitely speak to your bank and make arrangements if things are getting worse, but this is not the right way about it ma |
