It's actually scary , stay in groups ladies or try and get a taxi home safely . I would never walk the streets at night... it's bad enough creeps still hover about in the daylight, but at night ... it'll be worse especially if booze is involved and they're hanging about with their mates.

I'm thinking of investing in a personal alarm & some type of self defence spray , nobody wants to get harassed like that. Especially when you're just trying to go about your daily life.

Definitely agree with you but I will add that the reporter was going to get more attention than a woman wearing a hoodie with head down

Where did I say that?

For the purpose of the video the reporter who I will add was attractive and fit wore an outfit that would attract more attention than a woman walking in a hoodie and loose fitting track bottoms

Women get hassled but the reason the reporter got approached 20 times in two hours was a combination of her looks and what she was wearing if she was a hoodie the numbers would be much lower

I’m actually insulted but not surprised by your response to me
There is not a man on this forum or doubt in the real world that not only cares about women but has stepped in so many times to see women and girls don’t hassle hurt or abused
I’m the man that women come to when a drunk dick won’t leave them alone
You talk about click bait head lines the 20 men in two hours is one of those headlines

Not all men are animals

There is also a much deeper reason to this issue
Humans are attracted to the opposite sex that’s inbuilt and part the need to mate to repopulate the human race
But with dating sites you tube and schools and television shows ,we have come to believe that you can just walk up to a stranger ask them out or hook up with them without it being a problem.

okay here goes.....I have no doubt you would step in to help anyone in distress and I know that as fact Sherriff, however....a woman should be able to dress whatever way she wants without it attracting unwanted attention....a woman who dresses up for a night out might be meeting a new date, her husband, her wife, her boyfriend, her girlfriend, or she might just be meeting up with friends, she dresses and puts on makeup to feel good about herself...she does not dress for RANDOMs to approach her in the street and this is FACT, and she should not need to don a hoodie and baggie trouser so she slides by .... men dress to look good...Yes? they are not subjected to unwanted comments from anyone when they do..... do you get what I am saying? because what you are saying is ...she was asking for it ....

Thankfully I've not been tested on that scenario.

Tbh though, I would probably not be the hero that the woman would be looking for in that scenario, as I would either end up being too cowardly or end up getting myself stabbed to death.

Oh and to go shallow for a second, I 100% agree with you on the Reporter being attractive, obviously it doesn't excuse her being harassed though.

The reporter wasn't naked...I bet even if she was in jogging bottoms & hoodie they'd still be someone bothering her .I get your point about certain clothing getting more ' attention ' . Sometimes yes it can.

But then you could say if you're wearing a fancy chain or gold watch are you more likely to be mugged ?.... Or would you still be at risk of a mugging if your jewellery was hidden in your pocket or bag. Thugs & creeps will always try it on ...as they see an opportunity.

So yes we should try and be safe and not draw attention, but you could be minding your own business in a woolly hat and a big coat covering you up ....and still get harassed , hence why I wouldn't walk alone at night. The fact that even in broad daylight stuff happens aswell .

Theres a reason why they have to wear burkas in their countries.
It will be neccessary in the uk soon if you dont want to be harrassed or worse.

Yes - the draconian and misogynistic laws that require it. They were not brought in for women's safety.

Its all linked, and women are more safe in burkas in those countries.

It's linked, but in FAR more complicated ways than what's being suggested, and ultimately increased "modesty standards" actually lead to a worsening situation. Doesn't take long to get from "they should wear a hoodie not a crop top" to "showing an ankle is a sign of promiscuity".

What do we do after that? Stone the women that get raped?

It's laughable and a tad ignorant you even think a burka would stop a weirdo or pervert, he or they will still harass the woman even more.

Those countries you're referring to have alot of rape & assaults that likely go unreported , a man even dressed up in full hijab gear undercover somewhere in the middle east just so he could see how bad it is. Every second he was approached by unwanted attention..... by some creep, who thought he had a right to intimidate a woman who's by herself.

At the end of the day if you're a woman by yourself regardless of what you're wearing, you're more vulnerable especially in the night life.

Importing thousands upon thousands of young men from countries where women are treated like dirt and then cramming them into our cities and towns and expecting everything to be fine

Oop there’s the reason you posted it. I was surprised when I initially opened the thread. It’s not the women you were worried about, it’s the immigrants.

You can always tell what an LT thread is really going to be about just by reading the title

Exactly. Sexually harrassing women might be bad. But highlighting it when it's not White British people is far worse. And I'm definitely not racist for thinking that way.

Do they have statistics on underage girls getting approached by these perverts?
