This is a bit silly isn't it? Does it really matter who thought of the idea first? I'm sure both of you could work together.

Wont that be a bit pointless... two shows on the same thing!
It shouldn't be about 'making' a show, it should be about doing something new and fun!

Note the sucsess of shows such as the Aprentice and NTM!

And I thought you were fed up of all these 'shows'

To be fair to Adam, he didn't just "waltz on in" or anything. It seems to me like he does have this well-planned and has made a thread about it to let other people know, to generate interest, and also to let the mods know, which seems to be a much more appropriate approach to setting up the show than just u2uing someone who isn't a mod.

And so far, Adam seems to be more organised. I haven't heard of any plans that Matthew had in mind yet. I'm not saying he's not organised, but we haven't heard any specific plans from him as we have from Adam.

I agree with whoever said both should host it, it would be fairer as Matthew did want to start the show a month ago, but didn't go about it the right way. If both are eager to host the show then I'm sure they won't mind, Adam doesn't seem to mind anyway.

I wasn't refering to these sort of shows, just your marathon stuff. I'll plan another show with singing in it which doesn't clash with this.

But wont a SINGING show be to similar to the X factor, meaning the contents will CLASH.

I think it's fair if Matthew wants to do his own show. It may be about singing but it could be implemented completely different. It could be TiBB Idol

So long as everyone has some fun it doesn't matter.

Right because wasted wanted to see some plans of the show, here they are:

The show would last over 2 weeks and would feature eight acts. Due to the difficulty of having groups on a virtual show, there would be two category's, male and female. There would also be two independent mentors, one for each category that would help choose a suitable song and help them along the course of the show. There would be two live shows a week, one on Wednesday and one on Saturday. The audio recordings would be revealed and then the judges would leave comments on the acts. Then after the show members could vote and the two acts with the lowest votes would have to sing again and then the judges would then decide which act to send home. There would also be a chat show running alongside the main show (similar to Xtra Factor).

Maybe he could do one in a year or two.

Did you hear about the legal battle between the creator of Pop Idol and the creator of the X Factor. The Pop Idol man said the X factor had stolen the basis of the show

Can I just say something here, you need to get approval from james and mark before this. So if I were you, whoever is doing this, is to put forward a detailed plan of what will happen and how the show will go ahead. Without the approval of the mods and admin.... nothing will happen

I U2U'd James last night so he could decide who was going to run the show but he hasn't replied back yet so as soon as I have an update on that i'l let you all know.

I was looking at having a maximum of 8 acts so that would be tricky.

There's really no need for phrasing it like that.

Well, is this or isnt this going ahead?

If it is, I'd love to be a judge.
