Yeah but you're talking about one off episodes with a huge build up and hype before. Coronation St on average has more viewers than EE, they're consistently good and don't rely on one offs to boost ratings which is more important.

WOW Wicked results... EE was the best wedding SHAME ON Emmmerdale my mum turned over from Emmerdale as it was just boring...so she watched EE at 7.30.... i bet YOU emmerdale Bosses are thinking of ANOTHER Fire or Murder BORING EMMERDALE!!!!!
