Often people can't just join in, cos the jokes are usually things that don't involve them and they don't understand, so it automatically means they're not involved in it.

It's fair enough having a laugh, but sometimes it's actively causing a divide cos of it.

Z mentioned the midnight group or something? (Lmao, I'm not "up with" the gossip atm). Well, like he said... this names specific members, in a specific game or something and so others can't just get involved.

Also not to mention that if a group of people are discussing banter and in-jokes then it's intimidating for one single person to just "join in" even if they do understand the jokes.

I do think it only happens occasionally, though, but it's happening more often than it did.
But the midnight crew (lol) me included was never a mean thing, it was just a name cos we were generally the only ones on here that late at night. We don't bully people, and I like when people come and join in banter. I always try and start a convo with people. Am I digging myself a deeper whole. If I have offended anyone or annoyed them please U2U me and I'll send a personal apology.
This is why I hesitated in mentioning the midnight crew, because honestly, you guys haven't done anything wrong other than be friends, but because it's very upfront and in your face on TiBB (that is, all the members involved in it tend to reply to each other and have exclusive topics) it's quite noticeable. Nobody's accusing anyone of bullying!

Well there are threads where maybe a bunch of people are having a lil bit of banter and they all kinda bounce off each other personality wise but then in other threads it can be different people and others cant get involved either. It will happen on everything. For example, I dont have a clue about the olympics - so I couldnt join into a thread about it. Or I dont watch eastenders who I couldnt join in about that. So there are going to be threads where people do not fit in.

I know the kinda threads you are talking about now though - but for me thats what makes this forum so fun. Its the fact that you can just mess about with people and enjoy yourself. I do not think its intended to be a gang thing. I know what you mean about the midnight group as well.. as i have been involved on the odd occasion but its just people enjoying themselves and chatting to people.

Its "general chat" - thats meant to be anything and everything. Dont you think?

Fair point but that is not all of us. And even before elimination/midnight crew stuff, that was going on loads. And we do tend to stick to the convos about this in elimination thread, which others not from game can and do join in on. But I do see where you are coming from, but we don't mean to be intimidating. Honestly.

LMFAO
I remember that =P

I totally agree.
There are A LOT of cliques, and it's more noticeable in the chat&games, general chat, and even the proper game threads [celeb makeovers, fashion headtoheads, all those sorta games etc] as people seem to vote for their friends/clique rather than the people that deserve it.

I don't mind cliques so much, it's when it's everywhere, and starts to spoil the site for me, then it matters IMO. I'll admit it's annoying but there's not really much I can do.

Most of what I wanna say has been covered really well by Lauren/James/Z.
The whole midnight club thing and those sorta groups are hard to join in as no-one really knows what's going on except the people involved. Friends are obviously gonna be made on a forum but when it starts to turn into little/mediumsized groups, it ruins the fun.

1) I hope people dont refer to me saying 'Elimination people' because in my opinion being in a group of '? people' isnt a bad thing. I mentioned it in the Nominations thread, because it was a point a few people have put towards me. I dont neccessarily think people having a group of friends and having fun is a bit thing, it just doesnt work when nominating in the TiBB Nominations.

2) I am not in a 'clique' yet I still manage to have friends and speak to people, because I give everyone a fair chance. We had a little group last year, but the difference with us was we never at all had 'matching avatars, matching signatures' and never even nominated eachother in the TiBB Nominations, we just had fun. I do think some people take things to far on TiBB and make others uncomfortable.

3) I agree with Billys point about 'imaginary mod status' is worse. Theres one person in particular who seems to think they are a mod, and its very cringeworthy. I just think what happened to having fun?
I LOLd hard.

Before complete slating of people occurs, none of us want it to get nasty, we all come here to have fun, you should read the pledge and sign it. I am prepared to wipe the slate clean and give evryone a second chance. I think we all should.

I just want to know who that is, then go back to using the forum on a far less regular basis, this is all getting a little to much for me.

To have friends is one thing but it seems there are a group of people out there that see this as some sort of threat, i dont personally know what to do about that only use the place less frequently till the dust settles.

It seems tibb is like life itself, great while your half having fun, a complete nightmare if you dare say your having to much fun

Can I remind members not to ask for names, nor to name names. It will target specific members and cause upset and arguments.

They're the scourge of any good forum. The fly in the soup, the piss in the swimming pool, the s*** on your cornflakes.

There's quite a few on here unfortunately.
