Nicky and Dianne Contemporary to Emma Muscat- I am what I am(Eurovision Theme)- Despite it being a generic pop song I do love it because it is so true that you always have to appreciate yourself for who you are, and I connect very easily with this Maltese princess Emma Muscat, even if I cannot relate at all to her upper class background!
Niamh: Not sure I would have chosen it for contempary there are a lot better choices/singers out there, it was OK. 6 Liam: 8 Kate: Bravo. Hadn't heard this before. Really lovely effort. 9. Score: 24 |

Jake and Nancy Salsa to 90s Dance Medley(90s theme)-
I chose to perform a salsa in the final because it's a dance you can go all out in and everyone should go all out in the final and I chose to do it to 90s dance music as I've always loved it and it reminds me of being young and brings a smile to my face. This cover is really cool done with instruments but it is 8 minutes long so imagine a shorter version Niamh: Ah yes, this is great, thinking outside the box and fitting perfectly and very fresh for a Salsa, best of the night so far for me 10! Liam: 8 Kate: Brilliant. I really liked the way it built up with the dance. 10! Score: 28 |

Nicky and Dianne Argentine Tango to Jurassic World(Movies theme)
I am probably the biggest Jurassic Park superfan out there, and the drama in this soundtrack too, is amazing in all 6 films, I have to bring something special, well something more special you definitely cannot get from me this last week in this brilliant show, I have had lots and lots of fun, whoever wins best of luck but enjoy these two magic moments from me anyway Niamh: It was a good fit, parts were a bit boring but some parts were very dramatic so I'll go with an 8! Liam: 7 Kate: Liked it but didn't love it. Nice effort anyway 8 Score: 23 Lewis and Amy Contemporary to Father and Son by Ronan Keating(90s theme) It's an important song to me as it was in the charts when I was born Niamh: Good choice of song for the dance but the original version is far superior than this cover (although may not have the same personal meaning for you) 7 Liam: 10! Kate: So beautiful and sad too. Tears in my eyes. 10! Score: 27 Annie and Gorka Street Dance to White Lines by Grandmaster Flash(80s theme) I chose this song as it reminds me of my misspent youth! Niamh: Very enjoyable. 8 Liam: 8 Kate: Best performance so far. Just has to merit a huge 10! Score: 26 Vanessa and Giovanni Tango to Por Una Cabeza(Movies theme) I've always loved movies. For a couple of hours you can be somebody else and forget life worries and stresses. Al Pacino is my favourite actor and i think this is his best performance. He plays a blind war vet. Frank is charming, sweet and utterly captivating Niamh: Obviously a perfect fit, very predictable though. 7 Liam: 9 Kate: Hadn't heard this before either. Adorable. Fitted the dance like a tailored suit. 10! Score: 26 Slim and Katya Contemporary to Ain't nothing like the real thing(Motown) Niamh: This feels like it would have suited a street dance or theatre more 7. Liam: 8 Kate: Didn't feel this as much as the others but was pleasant and suitable. 8. Score: 23 Cherie and Johannes Street Dance to What a feeling from Flashdance(80s theme) It reminds me of my childhood! Niamh: And this feels more contemporary than street dance 7. Liam: 8 Kate: Yes yes yes. The beat is perfect. Can't fault this. 10! Score: 25 Jake and Nancy American Smooth to Still holding my hand from Matilda(Musicals/Movies theme) I had to dance to this so I can dedicate it to my daughter. We went to see this together recently and we both shed a few tears in this scene. She actually reminds me a lot of Matilda in many ways particularly her love of learning and I heard her singing the songs from the musical the other day and I think she has a future in musical theatre so I'm excited to see what lays in store for her in the future. This is my very last dance and I've loved every second of this Niamh: Very nice. 9 Liam: 10! Kate: Closing with a sweet, delightful performance. Excellent. 10 again! Score: 29 |
