Eminem is set to release a new album this year, according to the boss of his record label.

Shady Records' Paul Rosenberg spoke to Billboard about the new album, explaining that the 40-year-old rapper is "far into the process" of recording.

"We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013," Rosenberg said. "He's been working on it for some time."

Rosenberg added that the release would be post-Memorial Day, meaning that it could be revealed anytime after May 27.

He also spoke about upcoming tour dates, saying: "We've got some dates locked in for him to perform live in Europe in August, so we're trying to see what else lines up."

It was recently revealed that Eminem - real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III - will be performing at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the UK this year.

Anyone got any ideas for the album? It's gonna be the beginning of the end....this will set him up for his last album I think. Seeing as how he always does double albums:

SSLP/MMLP
TES/ENCORE/Curtain Call
Relapse/Recovery

Ideally i'd have it titled:

The Beginning

Have a lengthy album with maybe 13-15 songs.
Features:

Dido
Dre
Snoop Dogg
X-Zibit

Keep all the old guys he used to work with on that, have some edgy underground beats.

Then 2 years time release The End.

10 song album that includes 1 song full of features of newer people he worked with. Skylar, Rihanna, Royce, Yelawolf, 50.

Final song should be called The End, and feature Kanye and Jay-Z, the two people he should have collaborated more with. Then keep the rest commercially viable and go out on top.

As 50 Cent's oft-delayed Street King Immortal draws closer to its first-half 2013 release, more details regarding the album emerge.

In an interview with Montreality, 50's deejay, DJ Whoo Kid, spoke about the upcoming release.

"I heard twenty-two songs, a lot of ridiculous ****," said Whoo Kid of Fif's album. "[Eminem] is on there, of course, and I love the Em record. Not the one that's out - there's another one, I think. I don't know if he's gonna use it, but a lot of ****in' **** on there."

"I was trying to steal one joint to try to... leak it on the radio, but I couldn't do it, because I knew he'd beat the ****in' **** out of me," he added.

Whoo Kid explained that on Street King Immortal, fans will be hearing a revitalized, "classic" 50. "But it's definitely an upgraded 50 Cent. It's kinda like...the struggles of bringing it back to Get Rich or Die Tryin', he always tries to top that, but I think he did it with this one. Kinda like, got the producers back, and his hunger's back, too. The last couple albums was a rich 50 Cent, but I think he made his mindset back into the hungry 50 Cent, so he's bringing it back..."
