Doesn't sound it at all to me.

They normally say "____ quits the show" but it's worded much like Womack and Simons exit announcements were.

And it fits too. Only a few months ago he was saying how he wanted to be the definitive version of Ben and wanted to be an EE longtermer with him and Jay the future of the Mitchell's.
