* Michael McGillicutty beat Trent Barreta.

WWE Superstars:
* Justin Gabriel beat Tyson Kidd with the 450 splash.
* Alicia Fox beat Natalya.

Smackdown:
* The show opened with Randy Orton in the ring. He referenced the changing of the guard at the end of Raw and then talked MITB and called our Christian. He came out on the stage and said that when he spit on Orton at the PPV it was an accident. Orton demanded his rematch but Teddy Long told him he was booked against Kane in a streetfight tonight. Orton got mad and went after Christian. After that broke up, Long told Christian he had to face Big Zeke.

* Christian beat Zeke with the Killswitch. Either they are behind Christian as champ or Zeke is on his way down. I am not sure which it is.

* Michael Cole interviewed the "you got lucky" MITB winner Daniel Bryan. Cole was a jerk to him and said he would cash in the title when the champ was down. Bryan blew Cole off and said he earned the title shot was announcing right now that he will cash in the shot at WrestleMania XXVIII.

* Bryan then beat Heath Slater in a long, good match.

* Mark Henry did a promo saying he was happy to destroy and hurt Big Show.

* Sheamus and Wade Barrett brawled to a no decision on the floor. It could have been a count out. Sheamus got the upper hand at the end laying out Barrett with the Brogue Kick. The crowd was behind Sheamus.

* Kane did a promo and then had his street fight with Orton. This was a good back and forth match. Both guys got out of the other's finisher. Orton finally won with the RKO and they shook hands in respect after the match.



I love how Smackdown exists in some parallel universe right now. None of WWE's current excitement seems to have rubbed off on it. Just make it live and end the brand split on TV already for christsake.

And Bryan is so going to lose that briefcase.

Amidst speculation that The Rock might appear at this year's WWE Survivor Series PPV, due to a Tweet posted by the former WWE Champ last week, WrestleZone has learned exclusively that Dwayne Johnson is indeed confirmed to appear at this year's annual PPV.

Additionally, WZ has learned that WWE is planning a huge media campaign to support The Rock's appearance at Survivor Series 2011, which will take place at Madison Square Garden. "With SummerSlam taking place in Los Angeles, WWE is going to go all out to promote Rock at MSG," a key WWE insider told us this evening.

"(WWE Chairman) Vince (McMahon) really wants to exploit The Rock's mainstream credibility to the max with this major pay-per-view appearance, which will officially kick off the direct push into Rock vs Cena at WrestleMania 28."

WWE always pull out something really special for a Madison Square Garden PPV. Hopefully they can continue on their hot streak right through from Summerslam and into Survivor Series then on towards the Rumble and WrestleMania.

Things are very good at the top right now. The midcarders and duds like Del Rio and Miz still bore me to tears and SmackDown really needs to be live with the brand extension ended on TV so it can actually have a roster, storyline and be as exciting as Raw but apart from that I feel good about things.

But seriously apart from touring purposes the brand extension serves no purpose anymore. Imagine if Smackdown was live this Friday night continuing things on from Raw.

The Miz is still the best thing WWE has going for them right now.. Looks like he's getting another push as well, Beating 2 men with a dodgy leg in that tournament.. the rumours are Mysterio is set for another push though, Still Miz v Mysterio is fresh and something new anyway

I don't know how people can dislike the Miz's character it's perfect he's evolved so much from the Dirt sheet days when his comedy wasn't that funny at all but now near enough everything he says is funny. JoMo was holding him down and the funny thing is people use to think it was the other way round until after WM in 2009

JoMo is superior in the ring then near enough everyone in WWE but that alone doesn't stop him from being the dullest wrestler in the company, I'd rather Zack Ryder get a push before him. The braveheart thing with Drew a couple of years back was good though i'll give him that they need to give him more stuff like that.
