The Miz is a good upper mid card attraction but does not draw buyrates and does not pop ratings for his segments as evident during his run as champion. You can't ignore the facts.
I'd turn him face. He is one of these heels I'm actually getting bored of having to hate. he looks absurd in suits trying to do aspects of Jericho's heel gimmick. |

give him the title again and it's a guarantee that the buyrates and ratings will go up.. he's grown on people ( listen to the pop he got when he came back out in MITB ) and you can't say his title run wasn't good, it was amazing.. from the moment he won it against Orton on Raw to wrestlemania when he beat John Cena at WM, Knew he was going to win that match as soon as his promo was shown before the match.. amazing. and i don't think Miz and Jericho have that much in common really when they talk. Jericho's more humour is more serious.. Miz's character is probably more arrogant then Jericho's was before he left.
Could you really see Jericho doing that now?

Miz and Jericho both have very, very similar characters. They are small guys playing cocky, suited, intelligent heels who often wisecrack and humour their opponents. The minor differences between the two are entirely interchangeable based on where they stand with the crowd.
The difference is Jericho was already highly established before he ever discovered suits and short hair and as a whole I find him very mature and believable as champion. The Miz was just like some imposter pretending to be champion and I really didn't believe it at all. Any chance of money in him lies in him being a face chaser trying to win the title from a prick, dominating heel. It just doesn't work the other way around. I didn't enjoy his title run at all to be honest. I don't like his music, I don't like his Matrix jackets, I don't like his face, and I don't like his forced catchphrases. His matches are boring, even I feel like I could knock seven shades of shit out of him in a real fight, and I just never got into the whole thing. |

His Music suits his character
His Jacket looks like a jacket that belongs to a great champion He has the face of the Most Must-see WWE Champion in History His matches are amazing ( Royal Rumble 2011 ) He'd Skull crushing Finale you before you could blink in his presence And his catchphrases... Really Stu? Really?

Dave Meltzer has given Punk/Cena five stars, joining quite an elite club of WWE matches ha has given the honour to.
* 3/20/94 Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon (Ladder Match, WrestleMania X) WWF Intercontinental Championship * 8/29/94 Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart (Cage Match, SummerSlam 1994) WWF Championship * 3/23/97 Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin (Submission Match, WrestleMania 13) * 10/5/97 Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker (Hell in a Cell Match, In Your House: Bad Blood) WWF Championship And if you don't know who Da Meltz is you can GTFO. |

I didn't watch it. Not really that into Smackdown tbh. I'll watch it if there's nothing on but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it.

Same here man. I just check up the results and nab the .gifs. I really don't see why it isin't live by now with the roster brand split over - at least for TV purposes. It would cost no money and it would instantly make Smackdown every bit as exciting as Raw.
We would be able to have live discussions on a Friday night and like Eoin said most of us would probably be drunk .

Even if it did cost a bit more, I'd imagine viewing figures would go up, as there'd be less spoilers, covering the costs, surely?

Absoloutely. You think we are the only ones who value live discussion? Wrestling is at it's best when live. No different to football and Big Brother. I'm surprised and baffled it's not live already. I can only assume that the WWE's deal with USA Network requires Raw to be the only live show they have.

Yeah you'd have to assume his injury at MITB is an excuse to send him to training for a few months. Honestly though who cares about the botches. It's the character devoid, trampoline mess that WWE portrated him as thats the problem.
And a thought just occured to me through Andy's raping of Miz. How awesome would a Miz/Punk storyline be? It would be the first big newbie vs. newbie storyline of this generation and it could draw serious money if done right. Imagine a corporate champion Miz Vs. Punk? Miz would be such a good fit as corporate champ then again given how he is right now the money clearly lies in him being a face. He reminds me of how the Rock was in late 98. |

Watched Smackdown this week and one match which really impressed me was the Daniel Bryan and Heath slater one both of them were amazing not afraid to take risks in and out of the ring and the pace was perfect probably one of the best matches on Smackdown this year but that's not really saying much
Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel have actually impressed me a lot more then Sin Cara in singles matches Sin Cara is more exiting to watch but he also looks like a disaster waiting to happen and the Sheamus and Wade feud has potential but the crowd seemed a bit dead for the match either that or they didn't know who to side with
